Sorry but i found  bathing and hair drying a dead and very stiff cat to be then cremated a bit odd, maybe its just me.

The dead cat woman freaked me out washing the poor thing. And the bloke who made a 60 mile round trip every day... dammit man, you should have had the dog cremated and took the ashes home - would have saved you a lot of aggravation.

i had to fast the video through the sad bits i was weeping buckets and the kids were worried! i also think i will crack up when its my turn!

why didnt anyone put the tongue back in on that poor cat! not very dignified i think!...

All the comments made here, went through my mind as I was watching it.

The cat scenario disturbed me somewhat. Each to their own I suppose. She did say that what she was doing helped with the grieving process. I was slightly freaked out when she laid the dead cat in that room and it was surrounded by all the other living? cats. Looked like a feline wake

Couldn't really take the owner of the pet cemetery seriously and have certain misgivings as to his motives :rolleyes: Sincerity wasn't really coming across IMO.

As for the body of the supposed chocolate Lab, did anybody see any resemblance to this breed.

The cat woman sounds a bit weird but if it helped her greive.  I read once a few year a go in a horse magazine I get that if you have to have a horse PTS, if possible leave the horses in the field and let the other horses sniff and have a look, then when you take the body away, they other horses will understand what has happened and not fret as much. where as if you took the horse away and then pts, the other horses think their friend has left them, and will probable pace the fences for a day or too whinning for their friend.  Maybe this is what the cat lady thought???

I was so annoyed I missed this one, having lost Fagin on Chrismas Eve I would have like to have seen it.  I know I would probably have been sat there crying, but thats all I seem to do at the moment anyway so wouldn't have made much difference.  Does anyone know if this is repaeated on any of the digital channels at any time?

when one of our cats died he died after waking up from anesthetic so we just brought him home and showed him to his brother. the brother hardly pined at all.
with another cat who died after being lost and developed kidney failiure we just burried (sp?) and the two cats we had left pinned for ages as we did not let them she him. so i think that you should let your other animals see as they would then know what has happened

i found it all very sad made me thing about how i would cope when i lose my girl did think the cat lady was strange washing the cat that was a bit much

The bit that made me cry was seeing that GSD in the bed before the cemetry collected him. I never saw my baby after he died, but I hope he looked as peaceful as that and made to look like an angel before he was cremated.

I agree that the cat woman and the man were a little excessive, but each to their own.

I got a little down after watching it,so I got Barnie from the window ledge in the spare room and moved him to my side tablelast night. I can't beleive that I lost him nearly 11 months ago and not a day goes by when I don't think of him.

Yes, it is a good idea to let the horses field mates say goodbye. Not always practical though - you have to have disposal (horrid word) in mind when you have a horse pts and they have to be pts where the trailer can collect them. Both of my ponies were cremated because I was lucky enough to be able to afford the £400 it costs, but other folk are not so fortunate and have to have them collected by the knackerman (who are always kind and discreet - but even so) :(
