This morning while getting ready for our walk Patch a collie x fetched up bile he had'nt eaten anything since last night i was wondering is it bacause he had an empty stomach
He has eaten since then and no more bile and he is fine within himself

If for some reason my gsd cross didnt eat all of her food the evening before then she will fetch up bile (like this morning on my couch!), she prefers eating more at night, wont usually eat anything until about 11 a.m. in the morning unless she brings up bile and is hungry. Its more than likely why patch did this although if she is under the weather in anyway obviously she needs to go to the vets.

Yes several of my dogs will be sick with just bile if they are too hungry.

Same here with one of my dog who is no longer with us(RIP)

He use to get a arrowroot bis or a digestivelast thing at night and first thing in the morning otherwise he would bring up yellow bile.

Just wondering how many times a day you feed him?  If only once, it might be worth feeding him twice a day, it might help.

I free feed him there is always food in his bowl when he is hungry

I have got into the habit now of giving my dogs a slice of toast first thing in the morning and I have never had a bile problem since.  They get their breakfast not long after that unless I am going on a 2+ hour walk (Usually at weekends), they then wait until after that but at least they've had something on their stomach.

lol i do this aswell, she gets a slice of toast when i do and she has turned into a bit of a marmite fan!
