hi i was meant to be there on saturday but my 2 little ones are ill 1 has a chest infection and one has  conjunctivitis (sp?) and an ear infection so it looks like ill have to give it a miss ,tennostaffs how many kids do you have ? any tips on keeping them amused while at shows good luck at the show dawn

No tips apart from a gameboy & loads of drinks / crisps / chocolate !!!

Not to bad as the oldest help with the youngest & my dad comes with me so he also helps.

Im going to be there tomorrow, ive just trimmed the boy up, I have to bath him yet and pack my stuff AND im supposed to be on the road by 4:30am

Well we got binned from junior and junior stakes :rolleyes:

awww neva mind :( We got two seconds in junior dog and junior bitch. But there were quite a few comments when we got 2nd not 1st in the bitch class, a face won it again :rolleyes:

I got two thirds in Open bitch and the other one in Veteran. 

My Open girl looks rather bloated at the moment being pretty overdue for a season (had pups in July), and I suspect the little extras over Christmas had plumped her up a bit, as before then I had her weight just right, though being in full coat you need to keep them lean to just right.

Her just six month daughter won the puppy bitch class for ehr new owners, though was beaten for BP by an 11 month old well schooled male (she acted just what she was a real baby), she had great fun kissing the judge :D

I handled my late Tula's son to second in Open dog (he won the CC there last year and interestingly thrid behind him was our imported boy who ahd RCC to him then).

As mentioned on the Crufts post I made a hash of handling in Limit dog when the owner was in stakes, got pulled out in a cut, but thought judge was placing and as there were already five dogs chosen left the ring :(

I've decided that myself and my mother must have got the dog show bug bad as we were both under the weather and drove two hours just to watch!!! (dogs all in season or already won a cc under the judge!), at least a bitch out of my first sole-bred litter won the rcc!!

My other half thinks I'm mad but I don't care!!  Did anyone see holiday showdown on tuesday night featuring the Irish show circuit?  Showing dogs in the rain.... there's nothing else I'd rather do!
