Anyone heard of this dry food and can tell me something about it?
Hi Jane, Aha - you've been following the same torturous route as me :D. This was around where I ended up too but thanks very much for your help. I don't use this food - someone I know in Greece does and I was trying to find out exactly what was in it. Don't think I'm going to have much luck though :(. If anyone has actually used this food for their dogs, I would be very interested to hear how their dogs did on it.
>someone I know in Greece does
Can you ask your friend whats in it? ;) It could be that it is sold here but under a different name, hence why i suggested contacting the company they should be able to tell if its sold here and under what name. good luck :)
I could ask her Jane, but the title of the food is the only part which is in English :D. She does speak Greek but this could be a whole new vocabulary! Anyway, I feel it is very unlikely they will list any undesirable elements. Even if I contact the company, are they likely to own up to additives etc? This is just one route we are investigating to try to find the cause of her dog's current unpredictable behaviour - may have nothing to do with the food. I was just hoping someone on here might have heard of it or used it. Thanks very much for your interest. :)

Has she done the obvious thing of having a vet check if the dog has shown a change in behaviour? If all clear I would think a change of food for a period could eliminate that cause.
Yes, that is certainly one route I would suggest Isabel. I think there are quite a few things that need thinking about. The problem with changing the food is that the dog is a very weird eater and this is the first food for ages that it seems to have taken to. I think it is probably more a training issue than anything else - just trying to cover all the bases before I tell them what I think. :)

Ah I see they are the ones that bought the Advance brand from Pedigree.

You would want to hope the dog isn't allergic to maize

The first ingredient is a meat, not a meal which means it was 15% before processing,You could probably more than half that amount for the end product :( This food is more maize and rice than anything else :(
Any idea what kind of symptoms an allergy to maize would produce Hailey? Would it be only digestive problems or could it be aggressive behaviour too?
my sisters boxer is allergic to maize, but it only affects his digestion and skin (makes him violently ill, and his skin goes scabby and flakey), not his behaviour. Thats probably of no help whatsoever, but there you go! I don't if
thisis of any use, but it seems to give a quick overview of what to expect from food allergies.
