hi im showing a red dog at crufts ,what colour suit would look best cheers dawn

I think black would set the red off nicely - wouldn't blend in at all.

Or grey if he has a habit of shedding red hairs that might show up? I'm stuffed with mine, I have one blenheim (red/brown & white) and one tricolour (mainly black and white). I looked everywhere for a mid-grey suit last year without success, and don't think I've got the money to spend. At least the tricolour isn't qualified so I only have to worry about the blenheim at Crufts, it's just all the other dog shows!

I think green looks good with red.

There's an old fashion saying "Red and green should never be seen".

I wear grey as my dog is a red fawn (so i'm told ) and black attracts too much hair but grey works well :D

I personally dont think you can go wrong in black but whatever colour you wear go looking like you are expecting to win.   There is nothing worse than seeing someone who looks like they have just crawled out of bed in the final line.

TTS, I know what you mean!  It don't forget polish shoes, plain top under the suit and brush your hair (tie long hair back)

I'm forever on and on at one of my juniors who won't put her hair up, it looks messy as it's long. :( Just waiting for a time when a judge will pick it up and tell her, then she might listen!

It's funny you guys have said this as when I was at LKA I was wondering around in my black trousers and jacket with my black shoes on with my hair tied back and saw a guy with his dog practising stands etc before going in, I just hope that HE wasn't actually handling the dog as he had an old pair of cotton jogging bottoms and an old T-shirt, the sort that would sport something along the lines of 'coca cola' on it or something -  I mean you have your dog nicely groomed, looking tip top and then you go and ruin it my looking as though you have no personal hygiene at all

I am not as fussy when it comes to open shows and don't always wear a jacket but I think I do look smart - not hard is it!
