Are the SKC schedules out yet?

If anyone has one, can they look up and see who's judging American Cockers please?

I've looked on Fossedata, but can't find the schedule, and the SKC site is worse than useless.

Hi Dawn,

Got Border Union yesterday (awfully early, but there you go) but have not had any other Ch shows part from Crufts (and Manchester of course).  However, according to the judges list in the year book, Ann Moss will being doing the May show.

bye
Gwen
ps pics of Spaniel Club should be on the ASC site soon, if you want to see Douggies win!

Thanks Gwen, is Ann Moss the Field Spaniel woman?

I got Border Union yesterday too, that's why I thought that SKC must be out. I'm feeling ready to get back to some showing after a very quiet year last year. Only 5 shows in total:eek: Trouble is I don't have any schedules, and my ringcraft is closed at the moment due to venue problems. So when you're out and about, could you pick up some schedules for me and drop them in the post. :)

I'll want a year book as well if there are any still available, we'll catch up eventually.

See ya, Dawn R.

Hi Dawn,

No problem, will collect some schedules and send them. Am doing a 2nd print run of the year boook now, so will put one to one side for  you.  Gald to hear you are going to be showing again.  The pups  will be soming out in Feb, which may or may not be fun!  Way Daisy is going at the moment, she would win a prize for best truffle hound- wont lift her nose from the floor when on the mat, but at home or in the park she is perfect, so a bit of an impasse as far as training is concerned :)

bye

SKC schedule now on line :)
- By ChristineW Date 16.01.06 13:22 UTC
Yeah & £22 for the first entry!

DO you not think now they have went over the £20 it will just rise and rise again.

I think some of them are getting greedy. It just means people are entering less and less dogs. Wish they could get that through their heads.  It can only be damaging in the long term for the breeds I think.

1000 entries at £15 and 682 entries  At £22 give the clubs just about the same income ( Forget the benching argument for now)  BUT I know which one I would say is better for the breed.  I do think the price is driving numbers down at all the shows now.

I just did some of the open show entries this morning which is pennies compared to the champs but 2 clubs using the same venue. One is £2.00 per entry with £2.50 a catalogue the other is  £3.75 and £3.50 for a catalogue.

And SKC charge for their carpark too, which if you can safely navigate over the potholes, you can then find on a rainy day your dogs end up orange underneath!

Oh the carpark at SKC is terrible indeed. A flaming cheek charging for it.  Not something to drive over with a bad head ;-)  I could never walk mine on it.

I thought the New ground for Darlington wasn't that great either or where I was put. I was on a hill and the ground was so wet it was sliding everywhere. I was quite frightened to be honest. Animal poo everywhere , it wasn't dog though :-)

Got my schedule through the post this morning.

Oh boy.  I have to try and get to SKC this year.  It's a brilliant judge for my breed.  Gone are the days when I would quite happilly travel up overnight, show all day and then drive home again   I'm going to have to find somewhere to stay that'll allow two dogs.  It's not good this getting older thing you know! :D

I believe Travel lodges let 2 dogs stay & I think there's one near there :)

Got my SKC Schedule this morning,  re the car park, its NOT SKC that place the charges for it, its the owners of the venue. Its been like this for a few years now.

Thanks Jazz!

Just booked 2 nights for £52!!  :D Thought that was well worth it.  It's an extra £10 for the dogs but as there's two of us sharing expenses it's still very cheap.

It'll be like a mini-break for me and my friend! LOL.  Coming up from Somerset so there's no way I could drive it all in one go now.  I used to about 10 years ago - I must have been out of my tiny mind! :D

Thanks again,

Debs
