I love watching my lot eat especially when they have extras in their normal food :D

We have just given them some left over wholemeal spag and they are almost sucking it up :D :D

I like to see what they will eat first - like little children :D I don't think that they have the concept of leaving the best until last tho' :D :D

I will throw your concept out the window as Duds does this   She is so funny and an example was on Christmas day where they had a full lunch no dog food and she ate everything but left her yorkshire pud until last :D :D

I gave mine left over sausage and mash today and the older dane was like a JRT jumping in the air i was laughing away she's never shown that much excitment since well a puppy! :D :D

Yes jumping in the air height is dependant on the quality of food they have seen going into their bowls :D :D

Mine don't do jumping up in the air :D :D I just judge by how much drool is going on the floor while they do their sit-stay while waiting for permission to eat :D :D :D

I have two Labs that don't drool Mars and Min used to but these two don't, very strange :D

I thought that ALL labs drooled :D

Mine only drool at the thought of food :D I couldn't cope with dogs that drooled all the time :D

It's quite interesting because, usually, my two always eat the meat first. Yesterday I had some curly kale leftover and they ate that first :D We don't eat kale very often and I can't remember if I've given it to them before :D

My Yankee George always leaps straight up off the ground when he sees me and the food bowl come round the corner to his room - we call it going 'Georgie boing!!' :-D He always does 2 boings, no more, no less. Weird dog!

one of mine will eat the extras first and then the kibble the other will eat her normal kibble and then take in a big sigh and look at her meat then eat it. very wierd - at first i thought she didn't like the meat but when taken out she looked at me as tho to say "wat u do that for, i was saving it". makes me laugh every time

Nipper delicately hoovers up any gravy first, then moves onto the meat and finally (with a look at me as if to say "couldn't you have done a bit better?") the kibble. He also has this absolutely shameless habit of sitting up to beg (I think it's a Jack Russell tendency!!) which he saves for visitors since he's worked out that they are a much softer touch...;)

Mine love the occasional roast dinner left overs, but sytematically throw the Brussel Sprouts out of the bowl in disgust :rolleyes: Yet the youngest will eat them raw

Lol Hairypooch I cant say I blame them for throwing the sprouts out yuk!.  Jazz thinks when when we visit MIL and the 3 grandchildren are there, when they get a sweet, he thinks he should get one and is always first in the queue.  If he gets leftover roast dinner though he saves the worst bit until last just like me :D :D

There's something to watch?  It's not just one big breath in and the bowl is clean?  LOL

It was funny though when we were out of our previous ESS's usual post walk treat of an apple and gave her an orange instead.  After a look me to see if I was crazy she lay down, peeled it and ate the segments.

Mine definitely eats the extras first which I learnt very quickly to put on top of the kibble or else the kibble ends up all over the floor in her desperation to get to the extras first.

Last night came home from work and OH said dog doesn't want to eat her dinner, what do you think is wrong? I said probably that I fed her before I went out  - whoops :rolleyes:

My youngest one takes an age to eat (as posted many times).  He eats each indivudal piece of kibble individually with a stroll around the room between each one.  It's boring and tedious to watch and drives me mad because he takes forever to eat. :rolleyes:
