:confused:Right this is going to sound like such a stupid quiestion but I have read through all my books and cant find the answer so have got to ask.  If you use a tri colour with a tri colour will they all come out tri   Also if you were to use a colour other than tri would the tri colour dominat as I am sure Beagies mum was tan and white.

Beagie is now 14 months.  If you had asked me two months ago I would have said I would never have another one while I have got a breath in my body  but just lately she is gorgeous so lovely and has stopped being naughty so much and is back to being the cutie she was when we got her.  She comes back nearly all the time when called and thanks to a crate has been toilet trained.  She still sleeps on the radiator which I am sure is not normal but then she is a bit eccentric and she hasnt hurt herself yet.  I was just curious about the coat colour as obviously if and when we do breed her I want a tri coloured one.

Hi,

We mated willow, as you know, and she is tri as was the sire.   But, we had 5 tri-colour puppies and 2 tan/whites.   Although all of willow's background is tri, the sire has tan/white in his pedigree.  If we had used a Dialynne dog, I'm pretty certain that we would have just had tri-colour puppies as there is no t/w in their lines (as far as I know).

hope this is of some help.

Thanks Sarah

Lucky is by Dialynne take a chance on side and her grandfather is Dialynne hallmark on the other side so chances are we will probably end up tri.  That sounds like a awful lot of beagle puppies I thought they had quite small litters.  I was sure Luckys mum was a tan and white but to be honest she didnt stand still long enough for me to take too much notice.  I have got a good few months to think about this as she is still a baby but she is back to being a cutie again now
