Hi

Can anyone tell me, are you allowed to take a dog thats not entered into crufts with you to look around. If so, when you are at the ring where can you put your dog? Are you allowed to put them on the stands? I wanted to know as I will be meeting my dogs Breeder there and thought I might take her along, if we are allowed of course.

Thanks
CJ

hi there cj, no other dogs apart from those entered in the show are allowed to attand crufts, so the answer to your question is no you cant take your dog, better to take some pics of your dog with you

A lot is misunderstood. We (the exhibitors) are allowed to arrive up until a certain time, I can't find it in the schedule now but it is something like 11 or 11.30 am. Crufts is a big show and a long day, so if anyone like me has a breed that is going to be judged late in the day (once we weren't in the ring until gone 8 pm, although that WAS exceptional!) we prefer to arrive later rather than first thing. You are only allowed to arrive via certain entrances, and so often have to walk through the halls to get to your bench and ring, which is VERY difficult when thousands of visitors have arrived first thing in the morning.  Every year I've shown there I've heard people make comments about my dog along the lines of "I don't understand why people bring pet dogs with them" (my breed is rare so many don't recognise it as a pedigree) or "I didn't know people could bring their own pets" -not realising we are exhibitors just having arrived. :)
