Not sure which topic to place this under.

Rught my girl had 10 pups on the 25.07.05 and has had a season since then. Anyway she is phantoming not psychologically but physically.  Saggy boobs etc when her tuck up is good (yes after a litter).
Anyway with Manchester Ch Show next week I am wondering if there is anything I can give her apart from Gallostop?  It is expensive and I will pay it but are there any proven alternatives?

Any advice greatly appreciated as we have a very fair judge and I would like her looking her best.

One thing I have found that works is to give them cucumber, we have successfully fed that to our boxer bitches for many years (Too many to think about) long before galastop was on the go, it is a natural diuretic and does work, we normally feed about half one per day, at least it can do no harm and it always works for us.
Good luck

Hi!
Find this very interesting, as some of my girls seem to get really bad phantoms every time. How do you feed your dogs the cucumber? I know for a fact mine will not eat it if it comes sliced on a piece of bread with cheese. Cheese and bread will be eaten, cucumber will be disposed of on to the floor ;-) . Will it be OK to chop it into minute pieces, hiding it in their food? The pieces would have to be too small for them to be separated from the food. I serve dry food soaked in water.
Do you scrape the seeds and watery middle off, or do you feed it whole?
One of my girls is having her season at the moment, would like to try something other than Galastop this time.
Will be thankful for any advice,
Karen
