Was it lokismum that was having the trouble with one of her dogs attacking the others? I just wondered if you managed to get your situation sorted?

Hi Louise
Yes, it was me, and it was Gypsy who would kick things off - and then get turned upon.
They are all fine now - she had her stitches out last Saturday, and the other two have healed nicely as well. We've deliberately kept the girls separated one from another until the hormones die down - they're settling down again, although Gypsy has now decided that she lives in the dining room in her crate, and slams the door firmly shut once she's in! She's stopped growling if any of the others look through the dining room door at her - but its no way for her to be going on, and we are arranging for her to go to a forever home, where she will be an only dog!
We're all upset at the thought, but know it is the only way to go on.
Margot

That must be a terribly hard decision to make, Margot. I'm so sorry. :(

Hi Margot,
Hope things work out soon - I'm sure it's for the best and hope you'll feel better for knowing that Gypsy is getting one to one attention and the others are more settled.
{{{hugs}}} 'n stuff, Teri x
Sorry to hear that Margot :( But you have made your decision with Gypsys best interests and those of the other dogs at heart.......Well done you!!

Margot, please don't worry too much. I had to place a bitch with her half-brother after she took a spite to her sister. It is one of the hardest things I've done in dogs but it worked out fantastically well. I still own the bitch but I would not dream of moving her from where she is. She is happy, her keepers and half-brother are happy and my female pack is happy without her.

Sorry to hear about the problems you're having Margot :(
It's nearly always animals and kids that make "decision making" so difficult. If nothing else, they teach us to be selfless.
It's never easy in this situation, but you're doing the best for her and that's what matters :)
Thanks for updating me, it must have been a very difficult decision for you.

It's the right decision Margot, and I'm glad you are able to d it. You all know we had to have our Elsa put to sleep on the 28th of December (and for her r-ehoming wasn't possible), and I cannot tell you how different things have been since. The dogs are calmer, happier, the tension is gone, and the relief for us is incredible.
