this is my first post however i have been observing for sometime, during which i have picked up some great tips (thanks all).
What i wanted to ask was has anyone heard of "designer puppies" before i read the ad in my local freeads last night and it made me quite mad, The ad read pomeranian x papillion puppies get the latest fashion accessory that all the stars have both parents can be seen £350.
I know i'm probably being petty but i wondered what happens to these poor dogs when they are no longer "in fashion", i'm 27 and i like to think that i am still fashionable (especialy in my flowery green wellies when walking the dog) however i would never get a dog or any animal as a accessory i just wish some people would think of the damage they are doing by breeding dogs and advertising them in that way.
Sorry to go on i just wanted to share that with some people who i know do appreciate dogs.

It all adds up to irresponsible and unnecesary breeding.  You will find most people on this forum only agree with breeding to improve and amintain breeds already in existence, and are against deliberate cross breeding or breeding just to fill a market when there are so many dogs in re3scue.

Sickening isn't it. I always feel like phoning them up for a laugh and asking their advice on which would be the best investment - one of their puppies, a pair of Jimmy Choos or a Louis Vuitton handbag. Or what particular star had this designer crossbreed.

Other uses include the production of a fibre that is as soft and warm as the finest cashmere and can be collected by the simple act of brushing. This can be spun into wool if wished and made into a variety of garments/accesories. BEAT THAT DESIGNER MUTT SELLER! :D I don't think anybody famously fashionable has a Tibetan Mastiff - thank god.

p.s. I have a lovely pair of red wellies with big daisies on that I paid a fiver for from Lidl, does this make me more Essex Travel Inn than Paris Hilton?
