I know a couple of members live in Spain and I wondered if anyone knew where (or if) I could buy some beds.  The thing is I don't want the horrible hollow storage ones with the bendy mattresses that I have seen over there, I want nice sprung base storage divans.  If possible I would also prefer to order them online.

Any advice much appreciated.

I`ve bought all mine from Gibraltar, they have English beds there & I bring them thru the frontier. I do like my king size divans :D

If your not near Gib then have a look in El Corte Ingles, they have better than average beds ;) If you don`t like them try looking on the net, we`ve bought all kinds, even a bath & had it sent over by road :D

Really depends where abouts you are but if its along the costas you might find British shop selling them so might be worth a look in the free papers knocking around :)

Ooh - I know El Corte Ingles - our company sells lights to them :)

Thanks for that Christine.  We have bought just south of Granada and I have seen an El Corte Ingles in Grananda but haven't been into it -  shopping doens't really appeal to me so apart from looking in the shop windows when strolling past on an evening or passing them during the day while sight seeing I haven't bothered much. 

All the beds we have seen have been really awful and expensive and we need a king, a double and three singles so it's an expensive mistake if I get ones I can't live with!  Have got a price for a firm to take some over from here as we have other things to take too so may end up doing that.

Hubby is going over to check on things in three weeks time so I will despatch him to El Corte to have a look at the beds (his to do list gets ever bigger!) and then perhaps check them out myself in March when I go back with him to look for kitchens.

If you`ve been in 1 you`ve been in them all A & Granada 1 is the same as down here  :D

The beds here are expensive & the quality can be iffy :rolleyes:

Think you`re best bet would be to bring them over with you :)

Hers the link for el corte, theres 3 in Granada area, pick 1 nearest you, but if they haven`t got something you want in the shop you go to they`ll order it for you, they very good like that & usually very helpful :)

Thanks for that.  The beds look like the ones we have seen, they really need to get rid of the plywood on the bases and get some nice springs in there. 

I have seen some great deals in the sales round here so I think we may go for the shipping over option.

Yep they`re all the same I don`t like them at all & they`re even better now than they used to be
