Hi, my Tibetan Terrier puppy will be able to go out for walks in 2 weeks when we are a week past her last jabs. How far should/can she be walking? She will be 12 weeks old by then.

A good rule of thumb is 5 minutes walk per month of life.  So a 3 month old pup will not want more than 15 minutes lead walking, 4 months 20 minutes and so on so at 6 months the walks are half hour and by a year and hour.  this doesn't mean you can't walk somewhere and sit for 20 mintues letting pup say hellow and then walk home again.

Please do make sure you are taking her out and about alraedy, carried in mucky places, so she can be socialised iwth all manner of everyday objects, people and situations.

By the time she is clear to walk around on her own paws you will have missed a very important time in her life for socialisation!

Not saying you havent done this alreayd, but a lot of owners i find mistake 'dont walk your dog' for 'don let it leave the house ever'.

when i have pups i take them for a walk to the local corner store about 5 mins away by the time they get back they are pooped

Hi, thankyou for the replies!...yes I have already been taking her out - luckly she is light and easy to carry!
She has been to the beach twice and into the school playground!
