hi my bitch gave birth 11 days ago is it normal for her to be very runny with her motions please

If she is eating a lot I would expect her motions to be soft but not runny. What are you feeding ehr,a dn are you giving cows milk, or too much puppy formula.
hi i am feeding her puppy pedigree food with mixer is what vet recommended and i give her the formula from pet shop lactol

the dried puppy food has all the nutrients she needs. the fresh meat was just to keep up her strength and show how her how much we loved her!
edit to say
i dont think pedigree puppy food (tinned) is good enough. it needs to be a complete puppy food which is also for lactating bitches. these foods have high protein for lactation.

Does she normally ahve tinned food. I find my dogs get loose if given timmed food, but it isn;t their usual diet.

A good quality complete dry puppy food is all you need for your bitch now, soak it by all means if she prefers it this way, it has absolutely everything in it she and the pups need. She will not get runny motions with this food. My vet gets very cross with me for adding in chicken or beef he is absolutely right, it messes up the exact quantities of vitamins and minerals. But I must confess I'm very naught and still do it. But I shall tell you not to. :-)

has it been runny for the whole 11 days or just recently ?
how long after she had the pups would she go to the toilet?
i had a girl who refused to go to the toilet for 4 days after she had her pups and she was runny well actually soft kinda like soft serve icecream (sorry for anyone who likes soft serve ice cream but it was the only way i could describe it) and it was because she was so blocked up it continued into 2 weeks.
no she is not usually on tinned food i only started using this from vets advice and no she went toilet on day 2 after the pups and she wasnt runny then only started about 1 week ago i let her out for the last time at 2am and this morning i come down to her mess she had left me this is not something she normally does but for the past 3 days she as done it in the house.any advice to hardern her up i stopped using the tinned food now but found that she not eaten all her food when i feed her, she is so fussy with what food i give her,i tried alsort to find one she liked her usuall dried food is bakers but she dont like the puppy one of that.
also its days 13 now puppies not yet opened there eyes when does this normally happen

i would put her on a dry puppy food that you are going to wean the pup on so mum and pup are eating the same ,so what mum eat will go to the milk supply and it will not upset the pups either as they are on the same food.
but how many afterbirth did she eat too that to can give upset tummy if eaten to many i will only let my eat up to 3,
wet food i would only use nature diet if you can get it,,science hill canned puppy, pedgriee may be rich for her

hi there ..... i used pedigree puppy for the first time with my last puppies and i found that they had runny poo ..... it had not happened with the dried food i'd used before ....... i'm not sure if i will use it again if others are getting the same results ...... it could be just too rich ....... and puppies eyes should be opening soon ... usually around 2 wks

I use my usual brand of food and just change it for the puppy variety. My bitches have been a bit softer each time, but bearing in mind they are cleaning up after the babies and eating so much more (they get large quantities of meat etc as well), I have never considered it a problem.

Could it be the Lactol? Some of my Mums can't take it.I use ordinary milk or cottage cheese any calcium rich food they can tolerate.
