One of my puppies (9 months) is still a terrible biter.

Allways biting hands etc.

The other day I had bad toothache & put clove oil on my tooth but must of droped some on my hands as when the pup went to bite it she started sneezing & gagging & ran away :-(

Now it has completly cured her biting but she is staying away from me :-(

The vet said it would not of hurt her, just tasted foul but she seems a bit upset now - any ideas - I dont want her to hate me.

one of my friends has a pup that mouths really badly and her vet suggested using clove oil on their hands and the pup hated it.  Apparantly its quite a well known 'cure' for encouraging a dog not to mouth, in the same way as putting the  bitter stuff on things you don't want chewed.
