Strangely, I am loving it so far! Anyone else?

I must be emotional cos I was "aww bless-ing" Michael Barrymore this evening   :D
- By jackyjat [gb] Date 06.01.06 22:52 UTC
I can't agree with you on the Barrymore thing, I am reserving judgement on that situation for a while.

it's great to see such a mix of people in the same place at the same time and makes for fantastic voyeuristic entertainment!  I was gutted to find it went on for 23 days - just when I was planning on reading a book for the reading group!

PS can anyone of childbearing age really not know what a gynaecologist is?!!
- By CherylS Date 06.01.06 23:20 UTC
Missed it as was on the phone (when not being a tea bag I am a gas bag :D)

Son told me that someone had a neighbour whose Rottweiller kept coming into their garden and knocking their little boy over.  The boy's father finally had enough and told the neighbour that if the dog came over one more time he would kill it!

The dog did come over and knock the little boy and the boy's dad mixed some petrol with dog food and fed it to the dog

The dog ran round the garden and then stopped and fell over
- By CherylS Date 06.01.06 23:28 UTC
It hadn't died - it had run out of petrol (boom boom) :D

Son caught me out with that one. Apparently someone on BB told that story.
- By Harlistream Date 07.01.06 12:28 UTC
I think it was Chantelle that told that story - I surprisingly am not liking this years Celeb BB. I dont know who most of the people are (I mean what kind of a name is Maggot!!!) I cannot believe that alwful Model Jodie is in there, and who is that very ugly man dressed as a women????
Last years Celeb BB was brilliant, with Jackie Stallone, and Jeremy Edwards !!!! However so far this years has not won me over, I think tonight I will watch Sea of Souls instead!
(Cant beleive I dont like it, I have watched all previous BB's avidly!)

The "ugly man dressed as a woman" used to be the lead singer in a band called "dead or alive".  In the 80s I used to love their music (oh the shame!! LOL).
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 07.01.06 12:55 UTC
Sea of Souls for me tonight and it was definitely Judge John Deed last night. No one in there really interests me ...yet!! However, a few people may be interested in this website LOLOL

http://beta.cergis.com/george/ :p :p
- By Soli Date 07.01.06 13:08 UTC
LMAO!! I like it.  Definitely sea of souls for me too.  I've really enjoyed the last couple of series.
- By CherylS Date 07.01.06 13:24 UTC
Apparently Maggot got his nickname from wearing a puffa jacket which was a flesh sort of colour - made him look like a maggot.

Only watched about 10 minutes of first programme and although Michael Barrymore is favourite with the bookies, I think the one to watch is Preston.
- By STARRYEYES Date 07.01.06 14:38 UTC
I agree with you about preston ....he seems about the only normal one in there..
- By hairypooch Date 07.01.06 13:29 UTC
It's certainly a freak show. Apart from the very first celebrity BB, this is the only other one I have managed to watch. BB were clever in their choice of participants, making sure that it would be "car crash" TV, albeit I am only familiar with 3 of them.

I have absolutely no sympathy for Michael Barrymore, I think it's just a cynical ploy on his behalf to try and endear himself to the British public so that he can try and resume his career? here.

Dennis the Basketball player, hmm...what's he all about then?

The guy/girl???? out of "Dead or alive" I remember the song but wouldn't know him if I fell over him. He's definitely got issues that need resolving, like does he really want to be a woman or just look like one:rolleyes:

Chantelle, surely nobody could be that dense in real life?

Jodie Marsh, thought I disliked Jordan but now realise that Jordan has certain qualities about her that JD can only aspire to. Liked Jordens comment about her, when she said that JD's nose looked like a builders elbow and that's after cosmetic surgery :D

Didn't honestly think that Rula Lenska would be that desperate.

George Galloway (loved the link Mel ;) ) How can anybody take him seriously as an MP. Could add several hundred other names to that as well.

Enough said.......seen enough, I need some quality viewing tonight so will be tuning into BBC 1 :)
- By susantwenty? [gb] Date 07.01.06 23:33 UTC
Oh i like it, all the different personalities make me laugh, my sister though and my mother wont watch it because Barrymoore is in, i dont blame them really as no one ever got tryed for that man dying:mad:

Warm regards Susan
- By CherylS Date 07.01.06 23:45 UTC
I watched it tonight, what a bunch

Barrymore annoyed me as he was going on about himself again!  Whinging on about the raw deal he got here and I wondered what the murdered man's family must be thinking as Barrymore whittered on and on about getting back here and working.  does anyone who watched think Barrymore was slurring a bit?

I had no preconceived ideas about Jodie Marsh as I didn't know anything about her.  She was weepy and really upset about the way people perceive her.  I think perhaps she should try getting a 'real' job and drop out of the limelight as it obviously doesn't make her happy
- By clanrobbo [gb] Date 08.01.06 04:00 UTC
I just think Barrymore is using this avenue to "air" what hes been bottling up for years....and i dont blame him, he has been reduced to a broken man due to the media, for something that happened on his property which was drug fuelled, and which he was proven to have no involvement in the incident.
I met him once whilst i was working at Stanstead and living in Harlow....I thought of him as an utter Gentleman!

All the best
Robbo
- By SarahSmith [gb] Date 08.01.06 09:06 UTC
Since it started i thought micheal barymore has been a bit slurred (his speak) cast our mines back to what was going on when that man died though and it might give us some ideas as to why....
- By claire206 [gb] Date 08.01.06 19:07 UTC
Hi, Im not meaning to cause arguements.

Im just trying to prove my point.
Jodie has been portrayed wrongly through the press.
She is not a Sl*ag or anything else.

Were in a very strong se*ual relationship at the moment but we have both agreed to pause the relationship for the amount of times shes in there.
When she comes out she promised me a very exciting night and she said shes booked everything.

For all you haters out there, message me and I will send u picks of me and her together.
if you dont believe.

xxx

Please dont get the wrong impression.

Can't get into it at all this time around.  I think the house is full of a lot of very sad people, most of which I have never heard of.  Last years line up was far better.

Up against Judge John Deed on Thursday...........no contest.
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 08.01.06 22:32 UTC
*swwwoooooon* Judge John Deed

- By CherylS Date 08.01.06 19:33 UTC
I had to laugh at that poor guy Dennis Rodman. He is having his ear bent by the emotionally hung up peeps, Jodie and Michael and then trying to smooth troubled waters between Pete and rest over the Gorilla fur.  Poor guy he must be thinking what a bunch of losers .....hey why am I in here?

Still like Preston best
- By Lea Date 08.01.06 19:39 UTC
Celebrity Big Brother :) :)
HTH
Lea :)
(If thats what your asking that is :) )

Ow i like it i'm glad Chantelle got to stay in, it put's a good twist on it considering she's not famous i do hope she wins, i say that now but not sure what i'll say in a couple of weeks time.  I didn't know Barrymoore had been cleared of murder though:confused:

Not sure what your on about Claire, but it does sound abit lesbian:confused:

warm regards Susan
- By CherylS Date 09.01.06 00:11 UTC Edited 09.01.06 00:14 UTC
A bit lesbian? :D

If Barrymore hadn't been cleared he would have been jailed.  No one has been charged for the murder, in fact I don't think they classified it murder in the end so case closed.

I like Chantelle too, also like Preston
- By Blue Date 10.01.06 16:51 UTC
Psssttt ( I say whispering) ;-)

>Murder<

Sadly however the chap came to his death I don't think it was ever thought to be murder.

A death however it happens is not murder unless someone actually intended for the person to die.

My daughter watches BB but I just can't get my head round it at all. Not sure what that makes me considering the qty of people who watch it ;-)
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 09.01.06 08:44 UTC
Barrymore was never cleared of murder because he was never charged, although he was questioned about it. Nobody was charged. :(
- By CherylS Date 09.01.06 08:49 UTC
I looked it up after posting to remind myself what happened.  It was all a bit iffy to say the least.  It reads like there was some sort of cover up but I suppose we'll never know.
- By Lyssa [gb] Date 09.01.06 10:46 UTC
Chantelle to win, what a pretty, sweet girl, not yet spoiled by the fame thing.

Barrymore makes me want to rush for the bucket everytime I look at him, I have never seen a more pathetic human being in my life.  Even before the 'What really happened to the poor dead guy in his pool?' episode, he has always come across as a completely self centred, depressing, I feel sorry for myself all the time bloke. How his boyfriend can bare to live with him I will never now, he would drive me to suicide or murder. Sorry can't stand the man!!!

Pete is a lovely fella, the rest of them - nothing to say.

As for Clare. ????????????????? (Those who shout it, well............ I doubt it!)
- By hairypooch Date 09.01.06 14:26 UTC
Chantelle can hardly be spoilt by the fame thing because she's not famous and never will be. The only thing she'll ever be famous for is going into BB and not knowing what a gynecologist is :D

As for Clare,  or whoever s/he is....:rolleyes::rolleyes: dear oh dear, seems we should have a special psychiatric board on here for deluded "members".

Cringed when I watched Barrymore doing his Hitler impression last night, scraping the barrel seems to be all he can do now

Preston has far more layers to him and is quite clued up on reading people. Hope he stays in.

Keep getting confused between Jodie Marsh and Tracie from Baywatch? or whatever programme she was in. They look alike and both have a really annoying giggle.

My money is on Dennis adding fuel to somebodys fire and causing an eruption. Can't understand a word he says though.
- By Lea Date 09.01.06 17:30 UTC
As for Clare,  or whoever s/he is....  dear oh dear, seems we should have a special psychiatric board on here for deluded "members".

On the other hand, cant she be done for defirmation of character, Slander Or something along those lines.
I am sure Jodie Marsh and her agent would like to know what Clare has been saying on a PUBLIC board!!!!!
Lea :)
- By arched [gb] Date 09.01.06 17:39 UTC
Seen bits of it - odd lot !.
What are those things sticking out of Dennis Rodman's nose ?!!
- By CherylS Date 09.01.06 17:53 UTC

>I am sure Jodie Marsh and her agent would like to know what Clare has been saying on a PUBLIC board!!!!!

Actually what Claire has said is probably one of the nicer things said about Jodie Marsh from what I can make out ;)
- By Carla Date 10.01.06 13:35 UTC
who watched it last night then? outrageous, and pretty vile behaviour i thought....
- By michelled [gb] Date 10.01.06 13:36 UTC
i really really like pete!!!!!
- By Tigerlily [gb] Date 10.01.06 14:40 UTC
Can someone tell me what happened? please? PM me if it is too rude to post but I have been hearing about it all day on the radio saying how bad it was etc and I missed that bit and I'm gutted :-( please? anyone?

xxx
- By STARRYEYES Date 10.01.06 17:40 UTC
Pete is from liverpool originally so is being covered by the local press and radio
On local radio (not sure if its on radio 1 ) they have said that if his coat is gorilla he is going to be investigated and could be arrested because you need a permit to own gorilla fur or whatever  duh!

before anyone pounces on me I think its outrageous and a disgrace and really wish he wasnt apart of anything like that..

I dont know if I'm biast but I find him amusing ..I get his humour must be the scouse in me dont really see the clothes and wierd lips cause he makes me laugh with his one liners....
did you know he 46 ...
But...i didnt see what went on last night ...might change my mind ....yet...
- By michelled [gb] Date 10.01.06 17:58 UTC
i dont see how it can be a gorilla, looks more like a border collie!!!! since when did gorillas have long flowing white hair:confused::confused::confused:
- By ShaynLola Date 10.01.06 18:06 UTC
I like Pete (origins of fur coat aside). His comment about Jodie Marsh was priceless...'you can take a wh*re to culture, but you can't make her think' :D :D

The cheek of Jodie Marsh for saying that Faria shouldn't be there as she's not famous for doing anything in particular. Erm, would someone like to introduce the pot to the kettle??

Dennis Rodman is scary. If I were Chantelle, I'd be very afraid
- By Balibee Date 10.01.06 18:15 UTC

- By Lyssa [gb] Date 12.01.06 10:12 UTC
Ditto Michelled, I have been saying the exact same thing, I've never seen a gorilla looking like that, the fur can be dyed any colour, but Gorilla's have corse short hair don't they?
