After getting a beautiful Patterdale Terrier Puppy, a friend of mine immediately wanted one of these lovely, but serious puppies! After the breeder having one of the pups returned, she bought her. However, the pup now growls at my friend's 18 month daughter whenever she approaches the puppy. I've tried to talk to my friend about allsorts of ways to help get the pup out of this, but my friend won't listen to me. I have 2 children, a baby and a 2 1/2 year old and have never had any problems ( I've had terriers before and also take my puppy to training classes). My friend now wants to resale the puppy (she's now 4 months old and this will be the 4th home that she will have had). If you could give me any advice to help stop this poor dog going to home after home then I would be very grateful.
Thanks, Vicky xxx

People should not enter into ownership without knowledge or experience this situation should never have arrisen poor animal behaviour is down to human error most times. The likely hood is that the child has hurt the dog without anyone knowing. Are you saying that the dog needs a new permenant home if so let me know. I may be able to help you.
