We recently brought a lab over from Ireland called jacob such a lovely boy ,found him a lovely home and the man just rang heartbroken
Jacob had eaten some tealight candles they rolled up in a ball in his tummy and the poor lad has died an agonising death .
Please beware dont leave candles were you dog can get them !

Thats awful news   The poor boy :(  Just when he'd been given a second chance in the loving home that he deserved too :(  I can imagine how devastated his new owners must be :(

i knew a girl who liked to make her own candles she was making some and when she went to pour the hot wax into a mould her dog ran under her legs and the hot wax poured all over the dogs back the poor dog died of third degree burns. I dont have any candles in my house because pups tend to eat them and i dont like the fire hazard i use torches instead.

i could imagine how that poor man is feeling i would feel so guilty

That is tragic news.
My pup will eat anything, you have to be so careful not to leave things they will pick up. She tried to munch on a candle once and I moved it very fast, lucky I was around to see her do it, since then, my candles are at a level she can't reach.
