Hi

I have a 14 week old bolly who is having a lot of problems with her rear end we have had some constipation problems and she screams in pain when trying to go then yesterday she had the runs it was all in her fur and we had to bath her twice which she hates bless her she was good but so sad she spent the rest of the day very lathargic and not anything close to the bouncing bundle that she normally is we haven't changed her diet or anything unusual that i can think of? this morning she went with a good consistency again with  a little cry but that I think is as shes very sore in that area. shes just tried to go again with no result and has took herself of to bed. we feed her on natures menu frozen barf mix which she was weened on from her breeders we have tried her befor with other things as she initially went through not eating at all when we first got her. she's not a big eater at all and just picks, any advice would be most grateful:confused:

I hope you find out what the problem is soon. Maybe your puppy ate something and is having a hard time passing the object?

Baxter it could be a large number of things :(

she screams in pain when trying to go

This sound svery worrying to me,i would get her to the vet asap, especially being so young they can go downhill very quickly!

Do you feed many rmb's? If so,how many and what type? Too many bones as you know can block them up,large chunks have been known to cause blockages, however this is probaly a long shot as my dogs swallow chicken necks whole and have never had a problem.

I'm sorry i couldnt be of any help. Please keep us updated on her progress.

Yes your right it is worrying we have spoken with a vet and he believes there realy isnt much wrong with her she has been having problems with her feeding and we we're very worried but she is better with that and putting on wait perfectly for her age and size. she's not realy a chewer in the sence of finding things to eat and swallow more just fingers and socks shoes etc as shes only tiny she doesnt make any dent in things like that so its not as if shes swallowed bits of a boot etc no we dont feed her rmb's as again shes just too little and the risk is'nt worth it we feed her the natures menu frozen barf mix and biscuits treats etc and some raw chicken boneless and other bits as treats and are very careful what we leave about for her to get hold of behind our backs.

that was my first thought too.

Is she a chewer???
stones or plastic??

afraid a visit to the vet would be my first choice.

Hi, I too would be very concerned and would recommend a visit to the vet.  I would suspect a blockage or possibly anal gland problems, but she's a bit young for this.  Hope she's ok
