A family friend is looking to purchase a bichon frise bitch does anyone know of any just now she stays in edinburgh but willing to travel. For pet only not for showing breeding?

Your friend should contact BICHON FRISE CLUB OF GB. Sec. Mrs M Reynolds. Tel No 01527 517116 and ask for details of reputable breeders who abide by the club's Code of Ethics. Be very careful buying from other sources - this is a very popular breed with puppy farmers.

I would advise your friend to be very careful.  As JG says Bichons are very popular with farmers.  Have looked at that advertising site link and a lot of those ads are ringing alarm bells with me and personally I wouldn't buy from any of them so buyer beware!  Much better to go through one of the breed clubs.
