Can anyone tell me how long is it after results have been give, that they are published by the BVA or Kennel Club

They used to be published in the quarterly BRS - so it'd be a maximum of 3-and-a-bit months (depending if the results just missed the deadline at the printer).

BRS comes out 6 weeks  after the quarter closes, so unless you were right at the end of the quarter and missed it, the next published ones will be mid February.

Breed Record Supplement
- By Lily Mc [gb] Date 30.12.05 14:13 UTC
As ridgieback says, it's the Breed Records Supplement - for those who don't know, this is the Kennel Club's quarterly publication which lists all registrations, transfers of ownership (and changes of name), imports, exports, major awards (CCs, Champion titles, JWs) and all health results (hips, elbows, eyes and probably others besides for different breeds?).

It is published in the showing 'groups' and makes very interesting reading - includes things like how many litters a bitch has had, what age she is, when she had her last litter, etc. and shows who really sticks by their breed clubs' codes of ethics at times! ;)

Has anyone got the last release of the Hip scores.

Do I apply to the Kennel Club to receive these Suppliments. I want to check hip scores from the beginning of  October:rolleyes:

BRS is 20.00 per group per year, speak to the KC Publications department to subscribe.

Alternatively, if your breed has a lot of dogs scored, you can get an up to date report of all dogs tested since the start of the scheme (or eye tested, or whatever) - the KC will quote you for this separately as price depends on number of dogs scored - you can get individual reports for each test for each breed.

I get the Pastoral and Working BRS, if you're just looking for details on a particular dog, PM me and I'll send details when it is included - probably in the mid-Feb publication if scored in October.

Also Hip Scores are matter of Public record and if you wnat results for a particular dog you can rign the KC and they will tell yopu, if they have updated the dogs records.

I have found when researching a potential stud dog if you don't want to ask the owner to save embarrasment, if tryng to decide between several dogs, you can have the information BEFORE approcahing the stud dog owner.

I found that the KC in the hip report for Dobermanns did not have as many listed as I did - somewhat of a disappointment as I had paid for the report, however they were very helpful and gave me a discount off their Stud Book that year instead.  Apparently they have been reported in the various BRS but with the computer changes over the years not all the hip scores have been updated as well.
