Any body got a FUJI S5600 DIGITAL CAMERA or a OLYMPUS SP500 DIGITAL CAMERA  ? Any comments....good or bad please

we, being hubby, used to have the Fuji S5000 which he says "is basically the same thing". He said overall it was good-failry light and compact, good picture quality, easy to use and navigate round the options (even i managed to use it!). The only niggly thing he didn't like was that when clicking pressing the button to take a pic, the digital display on the back of the camera went static, then there was a small delay to actually taking the pic. If the subject moved within this delay, you wouldn't know until the picture was taken, because the image at pressing the button was static.... that make sense? I found thisreview of the S5600...

i andrew the fuji s5600 in oct from qvc of the tv they had a every good deal andrew thing it great

Picture quality is usually excellent with Fujis but they are notorious for shutter lag. I know a couple of people with the S5600 and they've been very pleased with the results though.

I also have a Fuji S5000 and also had problems with shutter lag - helped a bit by taking lots of pictures at once (cannot remember what it is called).  Brilliant for static shots I missed quite a few where the dog moved. 

My husband has now decided to claim it as I got a new one for Christmas    I may have to get it back on occasion as my new one does not do video :D
