after not speaking to my eldest daughter for almost 3 years we started up a sort of conversation via letters over the last few weeks,and i know it will take a long time to heal the rift that was created but we have made a start, which i think the whole family is very pleased about, she lives 300 miles away from me so we are making the effort, but she wrote in one of her letters that in febuary i thought i would just let you know mam that you and dad in febuary are going to be a grandma and granda, this was a fantastic present for us over the xmas, and we have been going around grinning we are so proud.

Congratulations, I have a granddaughter who is 20 months old and is the light of my life, my daughter and I don't always get on and her lifestyle leaves a lot to be desired and doesn't suit me but....I have to accept who she is and always see my granddaughter almost every day, I do hope it works out for you and your daughter and that you find the happiness I've found within your grandchild.

I havent seen my sons for 10 and 12 years now ,they are both fathers to baby girls this year, i havent seen the babies either.Thankgoodness for my daughter.

congratulations being a grandma is wonderfull I have two beautifull grandsons the oldest is 18months and his baby brother is just 10 weeks they make me smile all the time

You will find that there are just that many irisistable baby thing that you just cannot leave, I wish you good luck, but you will find out that your wallet will get that much lighter.
We have 14 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter age 4 and Christmas is belam, especially at this time of year

With 9, 2 week old puppies as well this year, I think that the Jack Daniels has helped
