Topic Dog Boards / General / staffies ears??
- By jessie12 Date 25.12.05 21:06 UTC
Hi there everyone and a Merry Christmas to all!!! :p :p

My little girl, a staffy, has got the biggest lug 'oles I've seen since I lost my GSD!!
They are amazingly big  and are fully upright and although I love her as she is I wondered why this happens?  My OH's sister  has the older sibling to my staff from the previous litter and her ears are folded over as they would usually be, as were her parents, but my babys are humungous! :p
I've done lots of checking around and seems they can be referred to as "fly ears" Any other ideas??

Due to the size of these ears we've taken to calling her a "Bat Eared Jessie Hound" !!

Thanks,

Jessie. xxx

when my staffy was a pup we used to call her a demon chi-wa-wa (can't spell it properly!) coz her ears seemed massive and often stuck right up in the air.  When she was teething one went a bit funny and now sits at a slight angle (more noticable from the back than front) and the other one is perfect.  Personally I think it makes her look even more adorable.  sorry can't help you with your query though.

thanks for the reply.  I too think my staffie looks even more cute with her ears all stuck up like that!
