I am sure this is not possible but is there anyway I can retrieve deleted emails from my Incredimail account. I bought a mobile phone top up voucher from eBay and the seller apparently emailed the code no. Needless to say I have received nothing but I just wanted to check to make sure I hadn't accidental deleted it. I have asked to have the email resent but no reply :-( Hope this isn't £15 up my shirt :-( :-( I have had more than my share of wasted expense this month

I dont know about Incredimail accounts as i have hotmail but have u checked your junk email folder and/or trash can? In hotmail some emails go into your junk email and when u delete emails they go into your trash can and stay there for a certain amount of time. Also is the email he sent it to through ebay, same as the one you are looking in?

No, it's not in any folders nor in the eBay message if that is what the seller used. A right pest. Serves me right for not just going to the shops

What was the sellers feedback? If he doesnt reply i would report it to ebay! If you bought it, it would be quite hard to miss the email i should think. Good luck, hope you hear from him soon x

Also, if he sent it via ebay through email, it may be in your message folder on your ebay account!

IE email accounts have a folder of Deleted Messages - I don't know about Incredimail though.

Yes Incredimail has the same but if emails are placed in the junk & unapproved folder and are deleted they go completely and don't go to the delete folder.
If the seller emailed without going through eBay then then it would default to the junk folder as they would at that point be on my unapproved list which is MAYBE why it could have been deleted.
Can't understand why the seller hasn't just re-sent, the feedback for the vouchers is 100% and all others that bid on the same purchase have received theirs without problems :-(

has the seller got a copy of the email in their 'sent items' folder? If s/he emailed you using outlook/outlook express, emails are automatically stored in 'sent items'. Well it is on mine anyhoo!

Hi
I cant help re the email a/c thing but just reading your post made me think...
you bought a mobile top up voucher from ebay yes.... so why do you need a code to activate it?
the last time i bought a top up voucher for my mobile it had a silver scratch off panel on the back of the card which revealed the code to enable top up....
Are they not still like that??? Forgive me if they have changed i havent had to use one in ages as i top up online now its easier. :)

The idea is you buy the voucher and to save waiting for them to post it out they scratch off the back and send you the number. Still no response from the seller getting really annoyed now

Elaine, if you can't get in touch with the seller.......can you not report him/her to ebay, and leave the seller bad feed back......because i'm sure if they had sent you the code you would have seen it :-)

Sorry to say that it sounds like a dodgy EBayer so yes, report it to them. I'd also caution against using the dreaded Incredimail too though because you aren't the only person I know who has had problems retrieving mail from it. The other drawback is the habit of Incredimail generated email coming in as "spam" or being blocked by corporate servers. Mainly due to the "over lively" stationery I suspect.

Most who bought have given positive feedback so they are happy  Problem this time of year, people are away and come away with all manner of excuses, so if I hear nothing I will need to wait after the festivities to report them. (Giving them the benefit of the doubt) I have checked the feedback left for others and they have not posted since I emailed.

Got the code today and the seller is very very sorry. Guess he forgot me
Merry Christmas one and all

Glad you got it sorted :)  It is stories like this that make me realise why I don't use Ebay! :D
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 24.12.05 19:04 UTC
Well maybe you should :D :D I have bought about 40% of my Christmas gifts on Ebay this year ..all new stuff and all delivered really quickly :)

Fraid I don't buy anything from Ebay - unfortunately a lot of the stuff sold on there is by people not paying their wack to the tax-man :( Humbug :D

Not when you buy from the power sellers who run shops ;)
- By Daisy [gb] Date 24.12.05 19:14 UTC
Still wouldn't get me buying anything on it :D
