i have been horrified over the last few week, as everytime i open my newspaper there are about 15 new litters being advertised ready for xmas. They are charging over $100 for cross bread dogs, every week there are new litters being advertised .
Im curious is this the same in the uk, are any of you finding the same thing in your paper's or other methods of advertising

Cross breeds in this country are being charged at extortiant rates at the minue - the cheapest ive seen is roughly $450 in your money!

Its horrible first its a mutt for around the same price you can have a pure bred and if bought from the right breeder as much advise and help as you need to adjust your pup to your home.

just how many of these pups will end up in welfare orgs and rescue groups within a couple of weeks to a month after xmas

makes me soo mad:mad:

I have seen some terrible ads for so called 'designer' crossbreeds, in my local area lately. :(
Only yesterday I seen an ad in our local pets at home for Rot-mastiffs!
The ad read:
Excellent quality Rot-mastiff puppies.3 boys,5 girls.Mum KC reg rottie,Dad DLRC reg Bull mastiff.Lovely temperaments,good with kids.Will make fantastic companions...........bargain £550
What are these people thinking?
Ok,I know some are accidental matings but if I had an accidental mating with another breed of dog I would have my bitch spayed to stop the pregnancy.
A lot of people just see their dogs as money making machines.
I blame a lot of this craze on the people buying these dogs for such ridiculous prices. If no-one was willing to buy them, they wouldn't be bred in the first place!

companions...........bargain £550:confused:

bargain sounds kinda like going once going twice sold to the god knows who and we dont care just give us the money and leave

That is the price of a puppy in my breed from excellent bloodlines (champion parents as often as not), with parents that are Hip Scored, Eye tested and with knowledgeable lifetime aftercare from the breeder.
