My daughter doesn't like Xmas pud and has a current passion for M&S belgian chocolate melt in the middle puddings.  As my budget won't stretch to buying loads of them for dinner, does anyone know of a recipe for them?

There's something similar in Tesco but it's £3.99 for a tea plate sized pud!

Don't know about any middle choc recipes but I used to make Debden Chocolate Pudding fairly often before I changed my eating habits :) It makes one of those mystery puddings where the cake bit rises above a nice rich sauce somehow during the cooking process.  Here is the recipe if you think it might fit the bill:-
4 oz plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
6 oz granulated sugar
1 oz plain chocolate melted
2 tbsp butter melted
1/4pt milk
2 oz brown sugar
2 oz caster sugar
3 tbsp cocoa powder
6 fl oz cold water
Heat oven to 170 C
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in granulated sugar, melted chocolate and melted butter.
Blend in milk.
Pour mixture into a buttered 1 1/2 pt ovenproof dish.
Sprinkle over the top the brown sugar, caster sugar and cocoa in seperate layers.  Pour over cold water.
Bake in preheated over for 1 hour.
Let pudding cool for 1 hour but do not chill
Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

As you see very simple, works by magic.  I don't always leave it to cool for an hour ;)

Thanks Isabel that sounds yummy but I was hoping for a hot pud!

Good old favourite Delia has come up trumps!

Yes that looks a good one, Delia is very reliable.  I do often eat my pud warm which always seems a nice way of eating chocolate :)

I think it is just the sort of recipe a young man could manage on his own :)  Perhaps to impress a young lady ;)
