I havent posted before about my 7yr old GSD pulling on the lead but have read with great interest about the various methods for stopping this. Well today went to invest in a halti for BJ and Shadow. BJ has always been very pully on a choke chain which causes me problems and i never feel relaxed taking him for walks. To cut a long story short after introducing them both to the halti all i can say is why didnt i do it before. After the initial carnival hosre act which amused the residents of the neighbouring street they both settled down and we ended up having quite a relaxed walk, which was in the heat today was very welcome. So a big thank you goes to Melody and everyone else who has posted about how successful haltis are.

I also have just got a haltie for my 8 mth saluki as he is very pully on the lead too. I think it is a great thing and i will be using it for taking him to shows as well, till he learns to stop pulling

Aren't they super - wouldn't be without mine - although my lab has learned that if she doesn't pull she doesn't need to wear it and Neela is coming round to her way of thinking too.
