As anyone on this site got an offspring of this dog?

I have a daughter of 10 months and it would be nice to chat with someone who as this dogs offspring, we could compare notes and set up a support group LOL.

For those who are Curious he is a yellow Labrador.

What's she like then?  I know he has been mated to some nice bitches since he arrived, but I haven't seen any of his offspring yet. 

I quite liked him the 2 or 3 times I've seen him.

Shes a handful lol I was hoping for someone else coming on here and telling me what lovely obedient offspring they had from him but to be fair she could take after her mother who's KC name is wild child lol.

She as chewed the wall paperin the bedroom, the bed and the skirting board in the living room and Numerous  other things.

AND SHE ONLY DOES WHAT SHE WANTS WHEN SHE WANTS TO PUT IT MILDLY SHE IS A BLOODY HANDFUL, LOL.

From a confirmation/show point of view I can't say as Labs are not my first breed but I think she is lovely and she does love people to death and my other dogs, and the cat and the chickens and the ducks.

But I was hoping for someone else coming on this site and telling me they maybe bad when young but they do sort themselfs out when older, lol.

I don't have anything to do with Labs but from the GSD's I've had a perfect bitch puppy, so wonderful in fact she got me hooked on the breed- she turned out to be the most defiant, stubborn, strong willed bitch I have ever met :-)  I have also had 'the pup from hell', he was constantly into everything, you couldn't even go out to feed him without leaving with your clothes in shreds, tearing at wallpaper, chewing carpets, artex etc etc- he turned out to be the nicest, most well mannered, loveliest, perfect dog I have ever met :-) 

There may be hope for yours yet- and as for mine- I wouldn't change any of them for the world :-D

I was hoping for more Lab people to give an input!

I do have another Lab who is older and she is FAB, never had a day were I had to worry about what she is up too, completely different line.

My young girl as been a nightmare for the last 8 months, Isn't it strange how you can be led into a false sense of security, lol.

I have a 8 month old Lab he doesnt eat the furniture but he will pinch things from bins etc... Iave found that labs are very stubburn or mine certainly is he will only do something if there is treat in it for him.At the moment we are having trouble with recall worse if there is other dogs around.I dont think you are alone,i am a member of another forum and most on therehave the same problems

Hi Schiplab, yes he is a georgous yellow dog, he has an amazing list of attributes to his name as a show dog and trialer....

You are more likely to find more info and relatives over the water in France :) not many in the UK being shown yet.

What is the Affix of the breeder of your pup in the UK?

She was bred by Margaret Short of the Genisval affix.

Her Dam is Wildchild, I think my girl should have been called that, lol.

I have not seen my bitches sire personally only pictures of him on the web.

As the bitch had at least half the input into the pups and of course some influence on it behaviourly, then I would also be checking out the dams side of the family for clues as to behavioural traits :D

I have seen him a couple of times Shiplab, he is a stunning dog, well I like him :D   He is also very wired and an excellent worker and trialer....this could be where your girl is getting her brains from...in which case she could be be suffering from boredom and will need more mental stimulation....if this is the case, then brainwork, brainwork and more brainwork 'might' just help her behaviour a little :) . Labs in general do need a lot of mental stimulation and working the brain is a must. They a companionable dogs, who love nothing more than being by your side 24hours per day, but they are not and never will be lap dogs....challenge her mental abilities and you will see a change in her behaviour. ;)

I think she must have undetrstood this months ago as I feel that is what shes been doing to me tasting my mental abilities and seeing just how far to push me. LOL.

I do have another Lab but they are both as different as chalk and cheese.

Can you explain what a dog does if they do trailing?
