Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / aggressive puppies feeding

Hello, I have two westie pups 13 weeks old. They are really lovely pups but they are becoming more aggressive when they eat. I have always fed them from a double bowl and when the first has finished the other would growl not to let the other one in. But they are both becoming more aggressive and growling a lot more. Should I get another double bowl and feed them apart?

definitely feed them apart, and ensure that one does not steal food from the other. They are each entitled to their own food without hindrance from anyone else and it is unfair to make them compete.

Joan is right. You need to give them their own space to feed in peace. :-) Leigh
