sorry its been so long pup thanks for all your help - it went like this i rang the vets and they said bring her inj so i did just as we got to the surgery she started to scream ( she is a very vocal dog ) this is the first sign of pain then she started to push and all but the head came out on the vets floor but the head was very big so the vet lubricated her and the pup was born she was fine and the pup too but she could not push the others out has the first pup was so big she was very sore, she had been give some sedation to help them get the first pup out so she was not all there! so the vet opperated and she had 2 more pups so 2 girls & 1 Boy all well at this stage. but we then lost one of the girls beatiful thing she was too.
i had to wait untill late night to collect my bitch as she was exhausted and was not responing to the pups very well. i collected her and got her home with the 2 pups and i have managed to bond them she is licking and feeding them well now i have not slept since thursday night but hopefully all is well now thanks for all your help just unfortunate that it is her first litter and the first pup seemed to be large and was coming feet first but she is doing well now. sorry for the delay

im glad everything is ok  sorry you lost one and try and get some sleep i know its hard my pups are now 3 weeks old and i still have them sleeping next to me with mum and the slightest noise which comes out of the box makes me jump up and do a head count and check everyone is ok trust me if they are next to you you will sleep lightly enough for them to wake you im normally a very deep sleeper but when i have a bitch approaching whelp or have puppies i sleep very lightly you being sleep deprived doesnt give any benifit to mumma dog as you will obviously be concerned and she can read that in you and will begin to stress a little herself and right now she just needs to relax and care for her babies on my first ever breeding i had read everything but i was so stressed i stressed my dog out and she didnt calm down for weeks i have sinced learnt to remain calm even when the situation is bad because dogs can read you like a book

keep us updated on the progress
