I'd just like to say congratulations to some dear friends of mine who took the Bitch CC record at LKA yesterday!!  It was interesting seeing people's views on this subject in another thread.  This bitch is still only two years old and now has 23 CCs!! So no thought of retiring her yet.  They retired one of their males young when he was only four shourt of the overall record as they had another one waiting in the wings so to speak.  I, for one, am against making it easier for dogs to be made up as the UK title still means something worldwide and people from abroad are generally more excited about making a dog up here than they are anywhere else as it's considered harder to do.

If the dog is good enough to beat the current top winner then it'll win, regardless ;) I don't see why such a young dog should be taken out of the ring if she is still enjoying it. Well done to her owners/breeders for such a good dog :D If they take her out of the ring what is stopping 'inferior' dogs winning? OK I know they won't be inferior, but you know what I nmean. It will mean more to people (well, to me anyway ;) ) if they beat the record holder than if they win knowing it COULD have been there, at that show, winning again. Ramble over.........

That's excellent, i can't wait to get on the showing scene again.  Her owners must be soooooooo proud, talk about satisfaction.

Warm regards Susan
