Sorry it's the pest again, I feel awful asking this when we still have not heard about the other lady & her babies, but the pups will be 3 weeks on monday, I want to put some toys etc in for them, can you let me know what kind of items you use. Many thanks. Tracey.

Hi Tracey, dont worry about being a pest....I too am worried about mum and pups, we still have to consider our own.
Egg trays....loads and loads of egg trays :D. The oldfashioned grey cardboard types if you can get them, NOT the polyfoam ones..... My pups attack and 'kill' with gusto, play tug without damaging little teeth, bop each other without any damage. Also toilet roll tubes and kitchen roll tubes. ....Absolutely no toys with 'squeakers' inside, even pups at 3-4weeks old can remove one of these in seconds and choke...

I pretty much gave mine all my rubbish - after spending a fortune on proper toys that they didn't really do much with. I found they loved empty plastic juice bottles (squasheda bit and the lid put back on), empty cardboard cereal boxes, egg trays, pringles tubes etc etc :)
Thanks very much, have told the family to get the eggs, toilet rolls & kitchen rolls used up!!

I got my last litter some great new toys called "Petstages" they are in very brightly coloured fabric, and ocme in lots of different shapes, with individaul play and learning things in mind for each style, including some which can be chilled so kind to teething pups. My lot love them, includign the adults! they are the most popular toys I have bought in ages. I get mine in Batleys, but am sure lots of pet stores must be stocking them now.
bye

i find with my pups no matter what toy i put down for them they still want my feet or to chew on the brother/sisters head if they are bored enough they will play with a toy but most the time they just play with each other i dont give toilet role cartons i once had a pup that choked on a peice of the cardboard do you know dentabones for puppies i find them to be good for a toy they smell and taste nice and often steal each others which start a chasing game they cant break a peice of because they are to hards but they do get slobery or give them an old coca cola bottle make sure they lid is off and they dont have it they like the crunching sound it makes when they jump on it most toys for pups can be found around the house just make sure its not something they can tear a peice of and eat it
