One of my dogs is just getting over Kennel cough and now my little JRT has also got it.  He seems to have it very badly and I am quite worried as he really can't stop these harsh coughs and has been non stop really harshly for at least 2 hours.
He looks quite distressed and totally exhausted.  Is this normal?
My other dog was no where near as bad. Is there anything I can give him.  I have tried a little Benelyn but he won't touch it and is not getting a break between the coughs to get it in.

If you are really worried the best thing would be to give your vet a call, then you can ask their opinion and maybe have your mind put at rest. Last year when Kayla had KC she could hardly move before having a coughing 'fit', it was awful and she was really quiet and not her normal self. We gave her Benylin in a syringe, by far the easiest way of getting it in, and made sure she was in a warm, quiet place where she could just rest, on the settee near the fire suited her fine!
If he is really distressed and you are not happy then, as I say, give your on-call vet a ring...thats what they are there for  :) Let us know how he gets on :)

My friends dog wouldn't take the Benylin off the spoon but when she accidentally dropped it on the floor he woofed it up.

You could also try giving some Manuka Honey 5+ which you can get from Health Food shops & also try giving the homeopathic remedy Drosera 30c which you can get from Ainsworths which seems to stop the coughing very quickly.
