Who think these are good or bad.??
I am undecided as I love fresh fruit juice but always thought that the best of the vitamins were in the peel and this is discarded.
Opinions please.

In my experience, unless you can get fruit very cheaply, it is probably better to buy it freshly juiced from the shop :D

I don't think the vitamins are in the skin especially after all we don't eat the orange peel do we but we get plenty of vitamin C out of them.

Yes that is what i feel and fresh juice is so expensive to buy from the shops and most of them are made from concentrates.

Fresh fruit is expensive too! :) It's no good looking for out of date bargains because the vitamin levels are way down but I must admit their is nothing like a freshly squeazed orange so I just look out for BOGOF packs. I don't spend money on fancy electric machines either I just have one of the prehistoric things like a HUGE garlic press but of course it will only do soft fruit.

I use mine daily.
I buy organic fruit and veg from the people who grow it at Cheddar Car Boot/Market and it's less than half the price of my greengrocer, who in turn is less than half the price of the supermarkets! I never buy fruit or veg from supermarkets! I'm buying locally grown Cox's apples at 25p a pound at the moment.
You can buy a cheap juicer for £20 - although as you might guess, I bought mine for a fraction of that at the carboot! :) It takes the juice from the whole fruit/veg and stores the pulp seperately. I either make soup or feed that to my dogs.
There's more Vitamin C in kiwi than oranges and Lidl are selling them at 9p each at the moment, so 1 a day with whatever other fruit I have doesn't break the bank.
Freshly squeezed juice is very expensive in supermarkets and they do little vegetable juice. Carrot/celery/apple is particularly delicious! The biggest pain is cleaning it, but if you wash it under running water as soon as you've juiced, and scrub the mesh with a washing up brush, that can be quick too!

Which model have you got as that is the next thing to look at?

I've got a Kenwood, which works OK for me. My daughter has one of the BIG jobbies that I use when I am there. It does mean that you can just throw in whole apples etc instead of cutting them up, but I wouldn't spend that sort of money unless I was preparing large quantities.

I've got a jack la lanne power juicer and they are around the £100 mark. I don't use it as often as I should, mainly because I don't have a dishwasher and its a nightmare to wash it when you are as lazy as me. the plus side is that you can fling in whole fruit and I eat fruits that i don't usually like e.g. kiwi if its juiced.
That is what does me in - cleaning the darn thing! It takes very little time to make the juice and drink it but washing it up is a nightmare, especially for strong coloured things like carrot :(

When you juice a real apple and then compare what you produce with shop stuff, it's hardly recognisable, is it? I'm glad that you're pleased!!

The best thing about juicers is that you can make fab combinations such as orange and carrot or orange/carrot and tomato, or orange and celery etc.
The Magimix juicer is the BEST IMHO.
