A workmate of mine has a rescue dog (bitch) who's ten months old and having her first season. She'd like to take on another one, a two year old bitch who belongs to her her parents but when she had both of them together the older dog was very aggressive with her own dog and she was glad they were both on a lead. The other dog was also in season and her youngster kept jumping on her mums dog (being just a puppy yet with no manners)!, is there any hope for the two of them to become friends? Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Afraid that with both bitches in season it is the worse time to introduce them. Try again about 4 weeks after they have both finished their seasons, if pos. in a neutral place, and off lead. Or perhaps at a training class with a trainer to assess the situation. All the best.

Some bitches can be very "hormonal" for a couple of weeks before and during their seasons and whilst they would be pregnant if they had been mated and many will scrap during this time I am afraid.
