Hi, does anybody know of any swimming pools for dogs in the merseyside/wirral area. I know about the one in Moreton, but that is closed until Feb 06. :-)

There is a shortage of swimming pools around the North West.  I go to one in North Wales, Abergele.  There is on on the Broxton Roundabout in Cheshire?? Sorry they are to only two localish ones I know.

While on the subject, does anyone know of any pools in the South East? :)

Yes course you can use for fun too.

Henry goes mainly for enjoyment but also to help with his weight.  It's not just for dogs with injuries etc it's for all dogs.

1 minute swimming is like a mile walk so you can imagine how it gets them fitter :-)

Whereabouts in the south east do you want, collies?

Preferably Kent, but can travel to surrounding counties too. :)

:( Found one fairly local but they will only take dogs who are vaccinated. Typical!

Shanti,

I think you may have found another one.

Yes. I have found a pool near me and I will be starting to take the dogs in the new year. About 25% of their clients just go for fun.

Ty Labmad, any idea if it's a boarding kennels or just swimming pool? I don't suppose you remember the name:-)  X

Hi Shanti - there's one at Glenbrittle kennels, it's out Neston way.  It's fab - Dexter had a birthday party there, lots of fun.  As for the establishment in Moreton.. please ask them lost of questions Re: entry and exit of the pool, and the strain on dogs joints - they do everything on concrete floors, including agility.. Had a very bad experience there, please be careful!!!!!
