Topic Other Boards / Foo / The 'Hump Hump' song....
- By Natalie1212 Date 07.12.05 09:43 UTC
This is the exact conversation I had with my three year old son last night...

Thomas: "We were singing the song's for the concert at nursery today Mummy"
Me: "Oh lovely what songs are you singing?"
Thomas: "The 'Hump Hump' song"
Me: "How does that go? Is it about a camel?"
Thomas: "Noooo it's all about humping!!!!!"
Me: *On the floor in fit's of giggles!!*

What ever is he going to come out with next??? :D :D :D

Lol - Kids eh - who'd have em?! ;)
- By Natalie1212 Date 07.12.05 11:06 UTC
LOL It's a bit late now!!! ;) How's it going?

I should be clearing up but I can not be bothered! I have to pick Thomas up in 15 minutes, no point starting now, else I will have to stop half way through, so I am wasting some time on here, till he is home than I will get my rubber gloves on and do a spring clean!!
- By keeley [gb] Date 07.12.05 11:10 UTC
Ooh, a spring clean, how exciting lol!  Poor you!!  I'm doing fine thanks, 10 weeks today!  Sickness is disappearing and I'm feeling better every day.  Just got this horrible cough which is keeping me awake at night :(  Still, that appears to be getting better too so hopefully by x-mas i'll be all fit and feeling fab!  Thanks for asking :)

Give it a couple of months and it will be the hourly toilet trips and heart burn keeping you awake!! Then comes the kicking, and then the dreaded itchy stretch marks... LOL

Enjoy....!! ;) :P
- By keeley [gb] Date 07.12.05 11:35 UTC
Oooh you're such a nasty person Natalie!!  How could you be so cruel?!  lol - I can't wait for the kicking, and as for the toilet trips; I've been having them for weeks!!  Heartburn I can't say I'm looking forward to, but hey, it'll all be worth it!!

(seen the pushchair we want, but don't tell anyone - it's far too early to be discussing such things ;) )
- By Natalie1212 Date 07.12.05 11:47 UTC
LOLOLOL Everyone waits for the kicking, and it is lovely, but not at 5 o'clock in the morning when you have been awake all night, and all you want to do is sleep for a week!! I suppose it gives you good practise for when the little is born though!! :D

I saw my little nephew for the first time at the weekend, he is absolutely gorgeous, but it was very nice to be able to hand him back and come home!! ;)

P.S. It is NEVER too early...!!! ;) :P

Awwww, lovely!  Do you think we should be PM'ing each other with this chat?!

Anyway, I'm not worried about it being too early for the pushchair, but my mother is adamant that I shouldn't buy anything until I'm at least 7 months gone!!  There is a 'nursery plan' within Mothercare though, where you can 'buy' the item you want and they will deliver it whenever you like, ie 20th June for me!  And if anything (heaven forbid) should happen to the baby before then, they just give you a full refund.  Sounds good to me!  It's persuading my mum that's the problem, particularly as she's plumping up £150 towards the cost   :D
- By Natalie1212 Date 07.12.05 11:55 UTC
LOL Probably!! :D

That Mothercare thing sounds like a good idea, I wish they would have had something like that set up when I was pregnant. I only bought little things like clothes and teddies, and we decorated his nusery, then when I was 8 months we had to go trailing through the shops finding things like buggies and cot's etc. I think we ended up with a whole store of Mothercare in our (then) tiny two bedroom starter home!! :D

Just spoke to my mum this lunchtime, and she's actually taken the pushchair news quite well!  Just wanted to know when I needed her money!!  I think she's getting really excited and is actually quite happy to go with the flow of it all now!  She just worried initially, one of my sisters lost a baby at 5 months and I think it still plays on my mum's mind occasionally.  So, the very second i'm a day over 12 weeks, (which will be the Friday before x-mas day!) I'll be off to Mothercare making my purchase!!!

How exciting!! :D

:D :D :D Roll on Christmas Eve Eve then!! :D

OMG you lucky so n so your sickness is going. i'm 5 months on friday and i still feel rough :( You're gonna be one of those lucky ones that float through pregnancy, glowing and blooming :P
That mothercare plan thing is really good, especially if your a bit supersticious (sp?) ie don't want the pushchair in the house until after the babies born etc, but I've heard of ppl that unfortuanately have lost the baby and then have had to prove it to mothercare to be able to get their money back which is a bit insensitive :(
- By Natalie1212 Date 07.12.05 17:10 UTC
You are right, it is a bit insensitive :( The other problem I could see with it, is if you order a certain buggy say it is £250, but then on the day you go to collect it, which could be 7 or 8 months down the line, the buggy is £150, I bet you still have to pay the price it was when it was ordered, I wouldn't be happy paying £100 more than every one else had that day!!

BTW I never once got morning sickness!! You poor thing, it must be horrible!
- By voors [gb] Date 07.12.05 17:32 UTC
Yeah I bet you would still have to pay the full price I didn't think of that.
I was the same with my 1st pregnancy, suffered with sickness up until 6 or 7 months, I just must not handle hormones very well

What is the Mothercare plan thing? I am just 4 months and fed up of being prenant, tired, tired, tired all the time!!!! When will it end??!!!!
- By keeley [gb] Date 08.12.05 08:50 UTC
Hi! Yeah, my doctor said I seem to be 'getting away with it' with regards to pregnancy symptoms!  Poor you voors, still suffering!!  With regards to the cost of the pushchair, you order it and pay for it straight away, so I won't even upset myself by looking in the shop afterwards to see what the cost is lol!  There is the chance that it could come down, like you say, but I love it sooo much I'd rather buy it now and know for a fact that I've got the one I want, instead of waiting 4 months and finding that they've stopped selling them or something similar.

Setters4me, the Mothercare plan is where you can purchase any item from mothercare, either pay for it within 28 days or have it on an credit pay monthly plan, and they keep it in their stores for you until you want it delivered, ie, a few weeks before the baby is due.  That way you avoid the 'supersticious' worry that you shouldn't have baby stuff in the house before the baby is due (which personally I think is a load of nonsense, but I'm happy to leave it with mothercare cos I don't have the room right now anyway!!).  I've also heard of someone who had to prove they'd lost the baby, but I think that's fair enough, and if you are well informed beforehand (as I am now!) then you'd be prepared for that and just go along with a letter from your Doctor when you have to cancel it.

BUT!!!!  That won't be happening to any of us three expectant mums!!

Ooh, a happy little 'pregnancy' bunch, it's so sweet!!!!
