As alot of you will know we lost our Sheena last Thursday. The following day 2 of my daughters were taking Keatah out for a walk. It had been raining but now the sun was out. As they were leaving I said look out for a rainbow Sheena will be at the end of it.
They arrived home but nothing was mentioned as I didnt even think about Rainbow bridge at the trime I just said it.
That night I dreamt of Sheena looking very well. She was in this beautiful grass with buttercups. She was strolling around with her head down just sniffing. It was loveley warm and sunny. I was watching her but she wouldnt look up at me.
The next day weather was same as day before. I saw a rainbow myself.
It was Monday when I asked my eldest daughter if theyd seen a rainbow she said yes they had.
I told her about rainbow bridge and my dream we are both sure thats where Sheena now is.
I know rainbows arent that rare but see 2 like that. It just makes you wonder.
I maybe daft and just wishfull thinkng but it as given me great comfort.

Hi Sharon,

I'm convinced there is too - our pets make far too much of an impact on our lives that the thought of an afterlife without them is to me impossible to imagine.

I'm sure Sheena is running free from pain with all of our loved ones - and I'm glad you have that comfort.

Bless you, Teri x

I'm sure there is afterlife for our beloved dogs because heaven would not be the same without them.so yes there is a Rainbow Bridge while our ckeeky ones wait for us.

Awwwwwww Sharon I think thats so touching! xx

And not the slightest bit silly. When my Fiance lost his Father last Christmas there was a Robin in the Memorial garden after the funeral, weeks later when we were Gardening a Robin sat at the fence watching us (waiting for worms!) and from then on the Robin has been a regular, all through this summer and still now.
My OH is convinced this is his Father (and he's a big Rufty Tufty Blokey Bloke!)

Sharonb,

God love 'em all, I'm sure we meet our pets at RB. As has been said before, they're simply too special and precious for us not to meet again.
I dread the time when one of my two leave, but I'll know the thought of seeing them again will help.
xx

There is life after death for dogs too. I know this because I have seen/felt 2 dogs when I have been sitting on my own. One was my old Golden retriever & the other was a small med brown dog that came and layed beside me.
Animal spirits dont worry me at all.

I've felt the same when I was much younger.  We lost our Black lab, Zebo very unexpectedly (he was only three) - long story.  Anyway I was at school when he died.  I left to go home for lunch and as i walked down through a grass path I KNOW Zebo was walking next to me.  He walked almost home with me then he went.

When I got to our street my Mum was waiting by the front door for me, she didn't say anything and I told her I knew that Zebo had died because I felt him walk adn say goodbye to me.

Just posted my story about a black lab too, maybe it's a black lab thing.  :P

Hi sharonb,

If they are not at rainbow bridge they are somewhere around us. And here is the proof.  My neice (4 at the time) moved into a new house a few years back (with parents of course) and everytime she got to the bottom step, she would jump over it.  When asked why she would say "Because that black dog is sitting there again."  It was ignored as a funny stage (like we do) until it came up in conversation with her neighbour, who told my brother that the previous owners black labradour had died at the bottom of the steps.  My brother still convinced of it being a coincidence showed my niece some photo's of various dogs and she picked out the black lab as the one she could see.

She stopped seeing it when she started school, and none of us grown ups ever saw it, but we would always be wary when going on the bottom step.  It makes you think!!!

Spooky! Some of these stories may be wishful thinking, but something like that, when the child wouldn't have known anything about the Lab really make you wonder! :-)
