Just had to let you all know that Barney had his x-rays yesterday to see if the operations he had on both of his front legs had worked and I was told that everything is perfect and he will need no more treatment now and should not suffer any ill effects or arthritis or anything and his legs are now growing normally. I am SOOOOOO pleased :D

Great to hear such good news, Gina. It's such a relief isn't it when things work out so well.

Hi Gina, missed this one at first, but delighted to hear that Barney has his all clear. Lewis goes for his (hopefully!) final check in 10 days, so lets hope that ops and exercise restriction are over for both of them.

Thanks everyone xxx :)
And Sharon, I am so glad things are moving for Lewis and you. As Barney is now overweight through the lack of exercise and too many treats (bit like me :D) I shall be glad to let him run around a little bit now and by Xmas he should be in full flow. Let us know in 10 days wont you but I am sure he will be fine and you will be getting more exercise too. :D

Will definitely post when Lewis has his review visit. Fingers crossed, he's as sound as a bell at present, and has good muscualture on both shoulders now - but then he looked sound after his first op until days before he went back to have the second shoulder assessed. He will be the opposite to Barney re food as I've been very, very hard on him about keeping his weight down, since I'm convinced being a tad tubby contributed to his problem in the first place. So if he gets the all clear, he'll be delighted to find a bit more in his dish :-)

Hi Sharon. I know now that I have been feeding him too much but first dog so bit stupid giving in to him but he is now losing weight nicely (7lbs so far) so not far to go but I will know in future not to look into their eyes and given in :D
