Hello All
I have a question.
I have a bitch , she has already had one litter, And my male (who does not live with me) is here to do a breeding with her, he has sired 5 litters so far. Usually he knows just what to do.
Any way, My bitch is standing, and he is not paying any attention to her, I find this odd as normaly he does not hesitate . The two of them get a long very well.
Any thoughts ?

My first thought is that she just isn't ready yet although I have known a keen stud dog that had no interest whatsoever when his kennel mate came in season. How long has she been standing - is this the first day?

Well it is the first day that I have noticed her standing, mind you it is also just today that I brought him home to do his thing ?? She is ready at this point, shes practically begging for it , lol. But he is only expressing mild interest. Maybe tommorrow will be better ?

I had this problem with my two. She was all over him for days and when he eventually was interested there was no stopping them!! Good luck!
