Now although no-one on here has complained on here about this venue which only this year has started being used for dog shows there have been some complaints and people not wanting to go to future shows held there due to the ground has not always been rolled, the carpets were slipping, the venue too cold.  However I have now heard that the venue has since had heating put in both in the seating areas and the ring areas.  The last show held their was more then happy with the ground, saying it was perfectly level which ment the carpet was fine sitting ontop.

Just thought I would let people know the good news on this and that the venue is becomming better for dog shows and those people who don't like it cold! :D (me!)

Not that I have been there before but due to go to Luton there so glad it is warm - I also detest the cold - my hands and feet are FOREVER cold this time of year!

Please note I do not promise it will be warm! :D I have also heard though that Luton had hired heating for the venue! :)  I've not yet been to the venue and will not be going untill Hitchin has their show in feb!

Still take warm clothing as it's still an equestian centre in winter!!! :D

Hi - won't hold it against you if it's not!! ;)  Don't worry at that time of year it's unlikely to find me in less than four thick layers of clothing - I'll be the one that looks like a michelin man - you maybe to young to know what I mean on that one!!

I went on the 19th Nov and it was awful. Freezing cold, poor ground, rucked up carpets etc etc.  So bad I decided not to attend on the 27th Nov for a show my boy was entered in.  Given what I have just read, perhaps I will go to the Luton show on 30th Dec.  Hopefully I will not have to wear five layers on top and 3 below then!!!!

God job you didn't go on the 27th!  It was reportedly even worse.!!!!!!!!!!!  (I haven't yet been to venue!) But complaints went to the socities which went to the owner who has done something about it.  I know this though Hitchin DCS, where the secretary was eger to contact the owner after a bad expeiance on the 27th.  I know Hitchin has put in floor must be rolled and I'm sure Luton Sec will do the same!

I'm just hoping that this venue does improve because it's ideal and not too expensive.  The owner is being very good and is listening to advice and acting quickly (his clicked onto alot of profit from dog people.
