I promised to go along on Thursday with my friend to see her favourite breed (Beagles) - does anyone know if she has got the day wrong or if there is any special Beagle event on the Thurs?

She has or I have, hang on whilst I look - yes Hound Group Tuesday. If you go on Thursday you will see the Working & Pastoral Groups either way you should have a good time but if it Beagles you want then Tuesday it will have to be. Jackie

Oh I know of a few Elkhounds whose owners are taking them, but not mine, LOL

My show calender has been quite busy enough the last few weeks. since the end of June I have had Windsor, the World Show, South Wales, and now an Open show (Evesham) next Sunday!

That may sound normal to most folk who show, but up to now (including South Wales) I have only been to 7 shows of any type this year!! LOL

Only kidding Barbara, sorry you wont be there are you going to Leeds or do we have to wait until the Hound Show for your company. I know what you mean, my youngest needs all the practice he can get but I'm not able to keep up with all the things I stet up for him, like today, was going to a exemption but when I looked at my diary for next week decided I would not be able to manage so I'm going to stop at home and give the house a quick go over, well thats the plan but the weather does look nice so it may be the garden. Really , really wanted to take Thuggy to East of England ....so close to us ..but as hubby works away all week still I couldn't guarantee that he would be able to get the time off :(

Yep only a few more champ shows for me now, next is Houndshow, then WKC, Richmond and LKA, not made my mind up about Midland Counties, will have to see how the lift situation goes!

Thank you (blush). I look like I am sucking lemons in dog world, and my bum bag under the jacket makes me look pregnant in Our dogs. Had a nice one taken of me sitting with her at SWKA after winning second in the Hound Group, to the eventual Best in show winner! I think the photgrapher took it for th4e Hills advert

Hi Jackie, Liz and I will be there with the Whippets and Italian Greyhounds( entered in the not seriously considered classes as no breed classes). Wont be taking my puppy as she is in season( she is the only one who hasnt realised she is in season and cant understand why all the boys are so interested in playing with her!!!!!!!!)
Wish the show was still attached to the East of England show, I miss the non doggy type shopping.

Talking of NSC classes at a show yesterday I was called into the ring as "Post Graduate any variety not seperated" somehow I could not take the class seriously after that, kept wondering what a post graduate looked like after they were seperated. Oh and they do still have dog type stalls only they seem to hide them away, go have a look and enjoy your classes they can be more fun as it's a bit more lighthearted. Jackie

We take Ben to a park at the weekends near the showground and we have to drive past it. The marquees look to be up already. I'm looking forward to visiting and I shall keep an eye out for Khira amongst the Mals.

Had a brilliant day, the young bitch caged alone that you saw, took the BCC, BOB and was shortlisted to last 6 in Terrier Group.

She might not be mine, but I feel that she is as she is sired by my dog, I whelped her and I chose her for my friend, plus my daughter (who you spoke to) handles her.

Plus the Mini Bull puppy we brought with us went BP. Lets just say that it was a very happy car journey home :-) :-)

We are still on the champagne!!!!!

Very well done, lets hope you are on a run. Lets hope I am too, if your like me your are happy enough if you get no where but you need a good day at least every now & again to keep your interest going. It would be better for my bank account if I was chucked out for a year but that never happens does it. You win a class and then think we should have done better in the challenge must be my fault must have thrown it away, still next time. And you rush home to see whats next. See you at Leeds. Jackie H
