Sheena was going for xrays on Friday but on Thursday she was worse than ever throwing up alover. Me and my daughter were trying our best to comfort her while she was sick over and over while whining. I rang the vet who said go straight in.
He suggested just letting Sheena go. But we couldnt without giving her every chance. The only option left was to opperate.
They opened her up and the vet phoned me saying inside her stomache and her bowel was full of tumers. Best to let her go peacefull there and then.
Just 2 weeks before she was happy lively a big strong dogs with what we thought years left in her.
WE are all devastated my husband said he feels as though hes lost a child.

I am so sorry.  It is always so very difficult to part with them and I think it is particularly traumatic when it happens so suddenly.  It will take time but you will start to enjoy the memories of her and the trauma will fade.

I'm so very sorry for you all.  Sheena is now free of any pain now.  Be strong - I know it's so hard losing a four legged friends.

So sorry to hear your sad news, Sharon. It's dreadful at any time to lose your much loved companion but when a young and apparently healthy dog goes so suddenly it is devastating. Best wishes to you all.

Hi Sharon,

It must have been very painful for you to go into details about Sheena :(  Try and take some comfort from the fact that she had 8 good years and although she was taken from you prematurely, you did everything possible for her and she didn't unduly suffer by having a lengthy illness and possibly having the trauma of coming round from surgery which failed eventually in attempts to save her.

You've been so brave and your family too.
Bless you all, Teri xxx
