Thanks Pam its group 5 I wanted. Jackie H

Have looked and someone who has Elkhounds and Buhunds has won Best dog and Best Vet in Buhunds but as far as I could make out none of our Elkhound exhibitors got any top awards. Still feel exicited about Margarets wins - almost as good as doing it yourself. :)

Both Reserves went to Brits in Elkhounds!!!

There were five British dogs present, all at least RCC winners in UK.

Margaret Duchar won the Intermediate dog class and Reserve Best Dog (RCAC/RCACIB), Leana Beales dog was second!

In Open bitch Enid Hicks won with her Mindy, and my Kizi was second.

My Jozi won the Champion bitch class, and Reserve Best Bitch (RCAC/RCACIB).

Margaret Deuchar got both main awards in Buhund males, her veteran getting reserve to his son, and of course that lovely Veteran Group place.

When she got hom her husband took ill, nd is in the coronary unit, so think good thoughts for her!

Tried the web site but it seems on the blink. The detailed administration of the show left something to be desired - in the UK we take a lot for granted in the way shows are run. Also, it was rather bizarre when judging stopped after 10 minutes for the playing of the Dutch national anthem.

Had a great time at the show -meeting many lovely people in my own and other breeds. The icing on the cake was winning the Open Dog class under Terry Thorn in Irish Red and White Setters against very good dogs of UK breeding (but shown by professional handlers - that was the really, really good bit).

Ir was quite an arduous trip even tho we took three days over it and had a mini-break. But the attitudes of the continental exhibitors encouraged me to think of going to more shows over there.
