Hi, my moms westie decided that it would be a good idea to chew things at night time for no reason! She has started doing this recently and there havent been any changes at home so we're not even sure why - the list is endless. She has chewed wires, papers, DVD covers uyou name it she's chewed it.
The last thing she chewed though was a black biro pen - and I just wanted to make sure that she wasn't at any harm or danger - so does anyone no if she can get ink poisioning from this.

Please let me know

Thanks

Don't know for sure about ink, but I have a bitch who was a terrible chewer when she was young and still has a taste for biros. I don't know how many she's had in her 5 years but they haven't done her any harm. :)

Maddie chewed a pen once, her tongue was the blackest tongue you'd ever seen  but she was ok

Coincidentally one of mine found an ink cartridge (from sons pen - gosh! he must have been doing homework!!).  Apart from a nice blue mouth he seems non the worse for wear.
