i have just seen an advert for a huskamute- presumably a cross between a malamute and a husky- very cute im sure but more money then my kc reg pups were sold for! just wanted to rant!

Why anyone would want to cross two perfectly wonderful breeds I have no idea!

Oh, and there is NO rescue association set up to take these crossbreeds when the new owners realise they can't cope with them

I had a look in the Loot today and it horrified me how many litters of siberian huskies there were and even a litter of malamutes. These are NOT breeds for the casual owner who buys on a whim from a free ad paper. What horrified me even more is two litters of akita x rottweiller puppies from different owners - is this a trendy new cross or something?

have just saw a litter of bull mastiff cross rotts for sale for £450. you have no way of knowing what these pups will turn out like and no doubt none of the parents will have had all the relevent health checks done.

I have seen an ad for Dobe X Rott. what sort of dog are they trying to achieve? A lighter Rott? A heavier Dobe? Strange!!!

i also saw an add for a dobe/rott cross - nightmare...
