Hi all just a quick question,
how long does it usually take for the kennel club to send out puppies kc papers ? i sent off for mine weeks ago now and still havent recieved them or heard anything, im panicking now as my pups are due to start going to their new homes in a few days and im worried incase their papers arent ready

Give them a ring, make sure you have the DAMS KC Name & Number ready.

It says on the forms to allow up to 4 weeks.  In the past before they moived the registraion department I waited 7 weeks one year, they arrived a day before first pups went (I had sent them off when pups were a couple of days old).  In the last couple of years they seem to be back withing two weeks, but have had them back by return of post once.

Mine have always taken less than 2 weeks to come back over the last few years.

Mine took 2 weeks - however it only took them 3 days to take the money out of my bank :-o

Well my puppies reg & change of name will be off to the KC  tomorrow(bit different to reg of a litter as he already has an ISDS name)& I will keep you updated ;)

Less than a week for my last ones.

Mine took 10 days in May of this year.

Dont worry Quackerz, I am in the same boat, 5 pups gone to new homes overthe weekend and paperwork still not back yet.  On my contract of sale, I have added the following

KC Reg Applied for on ......date
KC Name Pending....

Just out of interest when did you send off your application, as others have been finding in recent years the turn around has been within a fortnight?

If it has been more than that then I suggest you ring the KC as they may have gone astray (had that happen once and they had to send duplicates).

sent off around 3 weeks ago Brainless, money only taken from account last week, they have paperwork and have been told within next couple of days (this was on Monday) :)  So whether post was delayed in getting there, who knows, but at least I know they have the paperwork.....

i sent mine off nearly 3 weeks ago too , i will give them a few more days and ring themi think ... i have spoken to pups new owners and they are happy for me to forwards the papers on to them when they arrive if they dont b4 the pups go so at least thats not a worry :)
