I just got 2 extra holes put in my ear 2 14 gauge and 1 16 guage titanium rings (same ones for belly buttons), had them done at the tattoo place by the piercer. I have 3 holes right now on my right ear with rings and was wondering if I should put another hole further up for the studd or put it on my ear lobe. Would it look funny with the studd in my ear lobe and the rings behind it or should I do it the other way around?

I also read that ear guns can not be cleaned properly with the alcove (sp) cleaner and going to a piercer is much safer and can clean everything properly, also an ear gun can shatter the cartledge in your ear. If my daughter wants her ears done I'am going to take her to the piercer I went too.

Hi dollface,

I have 7 holes in each ear - 5 rings in each lobe and two studs at the top.  One thing you should make sure of is that there's enough space to put any more.  If you have pierce where the ear is narrow it can damage the cartiledge.

In my opinion Yes :-)   You did ask.

Why do you want all the holes in your ears ( I say sounding like an old woman)   :-)  I got the normal 2 in each ear as a teenager a very big regret now. I don't wear earings at all jewellery has became sort of unfashionable I think.  Minimal jewellery I think is more in. Just my opinion folks...

What do people with all these piercings do in a thunder and lightening storm............................ :D :D

Personally as you DID ask for opinions, I think multiple piercings look hideous.

I dont quite get the top bit of your post (sorry im so slow) but wear whatever you think looks good, its your body :D

But about ear guns... Never ever let some pierce anywhere other than the earlobe with one

I know how people become addicted to this sort of thing!! My dad took me to have my ears pierced when I was 4, my mum went mental, but liked them after a while, then when I was about 12 I came home with my second holes and a stud in the top of my right ear, I was quickly told to get them out and they closed up, when I was about 15 I had my second and third holes done, and two studs at the top of my left ear, mum gave up trying to tell me off, and the holes are still there to this day although it is very rare that I actually wear any jewellery except my very conservative necklace and bracelet and my wedding and engagment rings... and my belly button bar hidden under my top!! ;)

I had all of my ear piercings done at a hairdressers, never had any problems with them, my belly button was done by a tattooist, the same guy that has done all three of my well hidden tattoos!! :D

I think you can go too far with piercings and tattoo's especially on women, but some people just have a knack of pulling it off!!

Why don't you just get some of those stick on stud things for kids and just place them where you are thinking of having it done, then you can see what it looks like before you have it done?

I had a tattoo done when i was 18 years old and regretted it for years after.I was a little drunk at the time and had a boyfriends name tattood.A few weeks ago i went to a local reputable tattooist and had it covered over.Thing is ,it had to be a bigger tattoo.Always think twice before getting a tattoo done, holes will heal but tettoos dont fade away.

I have three, I don't really like big black tattoos but I like girly simple ones. I don't think there can be much to regret if you stay simple and choose the right places.

I have a Chinese symbol of love on my belly, which has a lovely stretch mark going through it now!! Obviously this one is never shown! I have a basic daisy on my right shoulder/arm but it is high enough to hide with a short sleeved t-shirt when I want to, and the most recent one I had done was in June, I had a fancy 'T' on my ankle, again I can hide it with trousers or tights, or boots if I want to, and I won't regret the meaning, it stands for Thomas, my son :D I wouldn't like to show all three at the same time (the one on my belly only saw the light of day on holiday whilst I was sun bathing) the daisy is on my right arm, and the 'T' is on my left ankle so you never see them at the same time, as all of them can be covered very easily if and when I want or need to, I don't regret any of them... the stretch marks are a different story though!!!

oooo i love tattoos. I only have one, but i'd definitely get another. I know though, that if i did, i'd want another...and another....... To fix my cravings for another one,  i had my original one re-done (its black, and was a bit faded, plus the tattooist that did it initially didn't stretch the skin when he did the outline, so it was a bit jaggedy-not that noticable mind). I don't regret getting mine done in the slightest.

>also an ear gun can shatter the cartledge in your ear.<

An ear gun shouldn't be used for anywhere on the ear other than the lobe, all cartilidge piercings should be needle piercings.

My piercer did all my cartillage piercings with a needle. (I have 3, 1 in one ear and 2 in the other)

It costs £5 to get them done with a gun, and £20 to get them with a needle, but I only had to pay £30 'cause they're nice :)

I have 6 lobe piercings (3 in each ear) and to be honest, getting the cartillage piercings with the needle hurt less than getting the lobes with the gun.

If you're going to get the piercings, you should always go for what's best... not what's cheapest IMO.

I used to have four in each ear (three in the lobes and one at the top - the day after Robbie Williams appeared pictured with the top of his ear pierced, I went and got mine done ha ha - well I was about 17!)

Most of the 'holes' were problematic but the ones at the top were a nightmare, I eventually took them about about 7 years ago and it took about 5 years for them to heal - even though I never wore earrings in them anymore they would still frequently scab up and be routinely irritating or painful.  I've just had a look and (at least) seven years later there's still a tiny bit of evidence of flaky skin where one of them used to be.

I have also let rows 2 and 3 close up now and only seldomly wear earrings in the main first hole, I would never want to go through that again - I didn't know before about getting it done by a piercer/needle instead of a gun, but it was 13 years ago so that's probably why.

My ears are throbbing now with the thought of it all!

Thanks for the input :)

I decided to get another hole in my ear and Iam going to get my 4th hole on my right ear to be where Iam going to put my studd.... On my left ear 2 hoops and the 3rd being my studd.... I have to wear my diamond earing cause hubby would be mad if I didn't and they are nice lil studds so I think they will look nice higher up then in the lobe... Can just hear my piercer lol, cause I all ready had him change em once. O'well whats another hehehehehe... Not sure if I will get any more holes in my ear after that but time will tell....

I do have a tattoo a Red Eye Tree frog on my right side of my lower back, I always played with frogs when I was small still like em to this day... Thinking about getting a zombie frog and a poison blue dart as well, and also debating on a dragon holding a skull on my back.... My hubby is getting a back piece of skulls and zombies.... I too like tatty's, so far only have one...
